I'm currently making a campaign for my table and will be using a Stargate style artifact to get the party from one objective/reality to another. Turns out that I'm terrible at descriptive writing and cannot do justice to the effects of going through a wormhole. Would anyone be willing to help me out with a brief description to read to my players the first time they head through the gate?

Have everyone watch a clip of Stargate where people are going through the Stargate.
As you step through the liquid portal, you feel an intense pull and see the galaxy rushing past you. There seems to almost be a path guiding you safely between systems until you step through the other side, through a portal identical to the one you entered.
There is no visual of going through the Stargate. The show made one for viewer benefit but in the context of the show, a Stargate would reduce all matter going through it to the molecular level and reconstitute it on the other side. You wouldn't be a physical being with eyes to see or a brain to process the visual information while going through, and the trip would be for all practical purposes instantiations, far to fast for the eyes or the brain to process any information even if they weren't disintegrated molecules at the time.
You'd see the surface of the gate and then you'd see your surroundings at your destination. That's it.
