Changeling Visionary Sorceress - Need Advice

Advice

Hello, Im playing Changeling Sorceress in my current game but not sure if I have good idea about building this character. My character is only caster in the group if not counting Paladin, and some NPCs that help us sometimes. For the moment Im building the characacter around battlefield control some debuffing and utility spells, was thinking about grabing some buffs but I'm not sure it will be possible to fill so many roles.
At this moment my character looks like this:

Changeling Sorcerer 5 [Dreamspun-Visionary]

Str 10
Dex 14
Con 12
Int 14
Wis 12
Cha 20

Racial: +1 Nat. Armor, Claws, Green Widow

Feats:

Spell known:
0 lvl – [15] Dancing Light, Detect Magic, Ghoust Sound, Prestidigitation, Acid Splash, Mending
1 lvl – [16] Color Spray, Sleep(B), Mage Armor, Magic Missile, Protection from Evil
2 lvl – [17] Glitterdust, Augury(B), Invisibility

On the next level I plan to grab Fly or Stinking Cloud as first 3 lvl spell, do you have any good suggestions that would be good for single caster ?
I also have empty Ring of Spell Knowledge I but not sure what spell would be good to put in it, my party suggest Burning Hands in case we would run into swarm enemy. I on other hand was thinking about Charm Person but not sure if its worth it becaus I was planning to grab Charm Monster at highter level. Also do you think I should drop some spells and replace them with something better ?

Im not sure what Feats to grab at Level 7, from bloodline it will be Heightened Spell but for standard I was thinking about Spell Focus (Conjuration) considering I already picked a few control/debuff spells from this School, and possibly Augment Summoning. But Im worried level 9 will be a bit too late for that. I also have problem with picking Metamagic Feats that would benefit debuffing character. I had an idea to grab Spell Perfection-Enervation and hit enemies with 2 spells using Quickened and then Maximized Metamagic feats... but not sure if those 2 are the best pick for non blaster build and if I wouldn't be better grabbing some other Spell Perfection combined with Metamagic.

As you can see I'm a bit lost with this character too many ideas at the same time and dont want to make mistakes as sorcerer is easy to break with wrong spell or feat picks.
If its important my paty consist of: Human Paladin, Kitsune Rogue, Dwarf Fighter we also might retrain one NPC into Bard to work as support and out shared plot cohort.
Hope you will have some good advices for me and I thank in advance for you help.

I would really appreciate some help.

If you want to support your team then Haste and Fly should be your first 3rd level spell pick ups, as the extra action economy of Haste will help your team massively.

On your next even level you should swap out Color spray now as it won't be effective anymore.

By the sounds of it, you want to be a battlefield controller and leave the damage to your party. In that case I would probably suggest focusing on summoning at higher levels and using things like Black Tentacles and Slow to control the battlefield.

Wow that's a terrible bloodline arcana. Largely worse than a first level spell, keep watch, or a 2500 gp ring of sustenance.

Empower spell is usually more useful than maximize for blasters. Either has some use with a few non-blasting spells like mirror image, false life or even stinking cloud. Quicken spell is definitely good, get it. You don't have to choose which spell you will take with spell perfection yet, see which spells you're casting all the time & which would benefit from free metamagic and decide closer to the time.

For 4th level spells you're going to want either dimension door or telekinetic charge as well as black tentacles. The kitsune rogue will appreciate being moved to a flanking position and the dwarf fighter will likely need to move further than 20' speed sometimes.

Rozoack
Haste will propably be the best choice for a buff considering all of my team prefere melee and that extra speed+extra full attack will be loved by them :D
Fly is also on my "to get" list but wonder if there will be point to take Overland Flight later on as it have longer duration but self-only and propably its bad to double spells that do the same thing.

I did consider swapping the Color Spray but my party say its fun spell, if I decide to swap what would you reccomend ? Grease or something different ?

Yeah I know this Arcana sucks but Visionary bloodline fitted the character concept and background. Plus my character actually have Ring of Substance that will be "abused" for mass producing items for the rest of the crew as we are bit undergeared but have money for it.
I know that casting 2 spells one round is great just the metamagic cost of Quicken Spell is kind of scary +4 to spell level, will propably grab it at a much later level.
Dimension Door is kind of classic spell and certainly will be on my list, not sure about the Telekinetic Charge. It looks nice but there's plenty of usefull 4 lvl spells and if I grab Haste as my 3 lvl spell the movement wont bit that big of a problem.

I also wonder whats better as 3 lvl debuff, Slow or Stinking Cloud ? Both have nasty effects that seriously drops enemy capability in fight but Cloud can be "friendly fire" on the other hand it would benefit from Spell Focus if I go toward Augmented Summoning and it does ignore the SR. Propably would be bad idea to grab both of them, right ?

You've got a few spells targeting Will saves already. While Fort is generally a worse save to target, just having a different option would be good IMO. If you get Haste & a utility spell like Fly, and one of those two, you'd have to wait for a 4th spell known of 3rd level to get the other. Character level 11 is a way off yet.

Telekinetic charge lets the person moved get a single attack when you cast the spell, then a full attack when their initiative comes around. Moving with haste or otherwise lets them take a single attack when their initiative comes around. Also you don't have to move with them, unlike DDoor. It's worse utility but much better in combat.

I heard that Stinking Cloud can be devastating in combat, also good point about the limited spell known its annoing when I think about it. Is Fly worth grabbing this early in game or better to grab Haste and Cloud first and leave it until level 9 ?
I mean fly is good utility that also gives 60 speed normal or 40 in medium/heavy armor, not as great as +30 from Haste but its still flying so no worry about difficult terrain of flying enemies. Together those 2 would give nice mobility boost but that would mean delaying Stinking Cloud to level 9 - no hightest level controll spell for some time. Any suggestion with one would be more usefull between lvl 6 to 9 ?

The extra spells favored class bonus which humans and a few others get is why those races are most often chosen for sorcerers. Others may be able to be even better specialists (e.g. kitsune with the fey bloodline) but a few extra spells makes sorcerers much easier to play.

I think stinking cloud would be better than fly. It blocks line of sight which is useful sometimes, and you have other spells you can use in situations where that's annoying. Assuming you get dimension door or telekinetic charge as your first 4th level spell, you will have a means of getting to places out of reach by 8th level.

Actually my GM might allow the 3Party favored class bonus for Changeling have the same one as Human. That would be nice.

Now the question is what to grab first, Haste or Cloud ?
Propably Haste to have some buff that affects multiple targets, on 7 level grabing Spell Focus (Conjuration) would boost Cloud DC and allow Augmented Summoning on level 9.
Is it good idea to grab summoning spell around those levels or better to wait for highter spell levels ?

Black tentacles vs. summon monster IV. Summon monster has worlds more versatility - mephits for their 1/day spells, hound archons for buffs & a debuff, celestial lions to pounce/smite your enemy - but black tentacles is very good at what it does, which is locking down a group. Both are good, it's a question of which type of spell you prefer. Black tentacles & stinking cloud is an absurdly good combo by the way.

Haste is the spell to get first. Everyone likes haste.
