Organized play adventures without organized play

Homebrew and House Rules

So, my group has been wanting to try the organized play adventures, and people have their various class decks, but for a variety of reasons, we have all struggled with the unique rules of organized play. We are considering trying to play the organized play adventure, but not using the specialized organized play rules.

Has anyone looked at how you could do that? The big question in my mind is the various rewards, because otherwise it should just play like a normal adventure path.

If you're not playing Organized Play, then you need to make sure that you are giving yourself feats at the appropriate time.

After the first Scenario in an Adventure, gain a skill feat.
After the second Scenario in an Adventure, gain a power feat.
After the fourth Scenario in an Adventure, gain a card feat.

Other than that, I might be tempted to treat loot normally. Also, you can just ignore the special "Adventure Card Guild characters may..." rewards since you're already getting them as part of playing with the normal rules.

With those slight tweaks, you should be fine!

In addition to what Iammars said, I would run it as a standard adventure path -- build your decks from the AP's card pool, mix in any class decks you like with the regular cards, and handle rebuilding your deck at the end of each scenario just like you would when playing the regular AP.

Follow the reward structure Iammars listed for feats, and additionally whenever the scenario specifies a feat award, take that as well. If you only take the feat awards specified in the scenario and don't apply the feats for beating the 1st/2nd/4th scenario, you will be behind on feats.

If the scenario gives you a bonus deck upgrade, draw that many random cards of the appropriate type from the box and add that to your pool of cards instead when rebuilding your decks.

I'd run the loot as-written on the scenario rewards as I like that system better (swapping out a card with the loot each time), but you could also just have the loot as a permanent card in your deck if you'd like.
