My wife was going through the candidates for our local city council election the other night, and stopped to ask me and our son if either of us had ever heard of Legendary Games. One of the candidates listed their occupation as Business Director at Legendary Games. What's the name, I asked. Rachel Ventura, she replied.
Yes, that's right. Blonde Frog is running for city council. Small world, eh? I'm not sure of the wisdom of voting for someone who lists their occupation as thief, though I'll give her points for honesty.

Yes Rachel Ventura is running. I fully support her candidacy. Mostly because she's a great person trying to turn Joliet around.

It's hard to imagine Rachel not making anything she gets involved with better. She's terrific.

Most of the candidates (and there were a ton of them--fourteen for three seats?) talked the same. I did vote for her, though. (I appreciated that she used my area as an example of how the city had screwed up road management in the past...truer words, and all that.)

I don't know about the other candidates but she got my vote! I mean...if I could vote there. Since I don't live in Illinois...
