The Ysoki is neat, interesting to see the lack of shoes and the odd way the thumbs fold down when gripping. i like the little details like that... but i am still bothered by the forward turret on the alliance battleship placed where it cant actually rotate. But that's fine, i am much more interested in that frigate/destroyer ship next to it. i cant really get a sense of scale on these ships. the far right looks like a single seat fighter but the next over could be a frigate but that weird piece up top on it could be a rail gun of some kind or if it is way larger than i am thinking that it could be a launch/recovery area for smaller ships...
The drone is awesome and could double over as a space station at ship scale if needed ;)

I know there are some photos of them on GeekDad.
They look pretty good alright. But it may go without saying at launch we'll need to find some other minis and ships. I've got enough post apoc/modern minis to get going I suppose. I think I'll just need to look at some attack wing ships

Do we know whether the minis are coming in random boxes like the PF Battles do?
Interesting, i was under the impression that they will be unpainted miniatures which usually are individually packaged and labeled. i am not overly familiar with Ninja Division but i believe all of their current minis are also sold in specific kits. i expect Starfinder will be the same, either individually labeled units or small boxes with fixed pieces in them.

i am really curious to see the quality of the painting on the final product. sometimes, and usually with humanoids/monsters, the quality is poor. Ships are usually better at that. either way it probably wont be too hard to prime and repaint them so long as the details are nice and crisp on the models themselves.

Pretty much everyone I game with is the same.
Yeah, I am the same. The first Pathfinder minis I have ever gotten were those that were included in the swag at PaizoCon and even then I got really disappointed when I got duplicates. It sticks in my craw even though I didn't specifically buy those minis. Honestly, if Pathfinder had not of done the randomization thing with their minis, I would have been buying quite a few of them over the past couple of years. I'm very glad Starfinder won't be doing that and I suspect that might even get a subscription for Starfinder minis out of me if such a thing ever comes to pass. But, as soon as they go random, I am done.

I'll admit, I do occasionally buy some pathfinder battles boosters because sometimes it's fun to crack a pack and see what you get, but when I'm actually interested in having miniatures for my collection I just order singles for the stuff I want. Having non-randomized minis for Starfinder just helps take the middle man out of that process, so I'm all for it.

Oooh, I just thought of a suggestion for some Starfinder miniatures I would like to see - zero-G floating corpses! Talk about atmospheric! Or umm... a lack there of, but with... flavor?! Well, you know what I mean, right? Umm... I guess I stumbled upon an oxymoron or an odd pun or something there... Anyway, you could totally put them on those transparent stands and have them be all upside down with their limbs all flailed about in a limp manner with wounds and stuff.

That would actually be really cool. Great for a horror-themed adventure.

I know we should be getting official minis soon but i just went ahead and scoured through miniature market and came away with a nice set of potential PCs from 40k, Infinity and Chronoscape, enough to pull off a huge range of potential characters. I am in particular excited for one assassin that looks like it was modeled after a Destiny character. I'll be augmenting with Ninja Division once they are out there but it is really cool to see just how many sci-fi models are already being produced, so many options!

I was going to wait for the minis until the Starfinder subscriptions came out and I discovered that I needed to include the pawns in my subscriptions to get Paizo Advantage and Superscriber cred. So it looks like our Starfinder campaign will be using pawns in large part.

Just saw the thumbnails for ship minis over in Raia's thread. Anyone else have thoughts about them?
The preview images were small and its hard to get detail out of that but my take away is that the paint job for the ships is pretty good for a mass produced mini... but i would still want to do some work on them, they look way to clean and bright as is.
I also saw that they are all on the same sized base and largely had models that were close in size. i get that space is yuuge so you can say that even massive ships take up only a single space and it would be awkward if a ship leaned over into adjacent hexes but its still somehow a little disappointing that fighters are half the size of battleships, it looks like there wont be much sense of scale for things in ship combat.

Those look pretty cool for space goblins!
