Is my Standard character still legal to play?

Over this past weekend at a local con, I played my Standard character in a Core scenario accidentally. I didn't hear the GM ask to make sure that we were all playing Core characters. According to the PFS Guide, Core and Standard characters can't be mixed in the same scenario. But it doesn't explain what happens to characters that do. I accept my mistake but was wondering if my character can still by played in the Standard game.
I noticed the discrepancy when I was reviewing my sessions online. Does that scenario not count towards my character (XP, gp, prestige, etc)? Can I just remove that chronicle sheet from my character as if it didn't happen and keep playing it? Is my character now unplayable?

I'd suggest contacting your local Venture officer to work out how to handle this situation.

My personal opinion is that you should just remove the chronicle, ask for your character to be deleted from the reported session, and keep playing your character.

Indeed a simple delete will solve that. Your V.O. will help you clarifing it.

Normally if a Core character plays in a Standard Game, it switches to Standard automatically and cannot be changed back to Core. It doesn't work that way for Standard character played in a Core game. What it does do is error out during reporting. If it is not on your session list associated with your character, you can probably lose the chronicle as it was not able to be played at the table in the first place.

Good news is your character is not unplayable and you can keep playing it in the future. Keep in mind that when you get to a table, it doesn't hurt to ask if they are playing Core or Standard. Hope this helps.

Thanks, everyone. I'll contact my Venture-Officer, get the chronicle deleted, and lose the chronicle sheet. I really like this character and just made 4th-level with it (losing the chronicle won't change that). It'd be a shame to start over with a new character.

Wouldn't the game just have technically been standard campaign? Guess nobody would appreciate that outcome though as all their core characters would be transferred over.

Technically yes, but as you say the core players may not be to happy about forced "enlightenment".

Whomever did the reporting might have gotten an error message when they tried entering your character. Next time you log into your account; pull up the sessions for that character and see if there's a note or if it appears at all.

As one of the players at the table this happened at, there was no indication that his character wasn't core, and my wife and I don't remember him doing anything that a core character wouldn't have had access to.

The non-core characters in the session did pop up as being the wrong type, but the session and other characters are still listed as core. I'm pretty sure him looking at his character sessions was how he discovered this mishap.

I was gone from the table when they sat down, so don't know if the GM mentioned Core or not, the Warhorn sign-up was listed as Core, so the GM probably assumed those that signed up read that. I know she mentioned it in part one that the OP and the other non-core character missed and the other four of us were definitely Core.

The zombie apocolypse of core characters being converted has found yet another vector...

This was apparently an urban myth and all such claims were actually examples of GM's reported as regular mode rather than core.
