After we gather it, do we file it? Or do we phile it?

If we file it, is it possible to defile it?

Is it possible to phile defiled data?

Is it possible to file dephiled data?

This Faction Journal Card is going to be tricky.

Good hustle.

Please remember to hack responsibly and to always pass your Computer/Diplomacy checks.

Then again if all else fails....

Also, to all of our Technomancer members (which is going to be most of us), haste and fly spells are pretty useful.

Dataphiles 3/5 ⦵⦵

Please do not discount the operatives in our number. Those of us Who are specialized hackers are just as effective at gathering intel, If not more so. Detectives Envoys and soldiers can be very persuasive with what we call " human resources" as well.

Wayfinders 4/5

Sarhtaz walks in, clad in his typical coveralls pushing his cart full of tools, cleaners, signs and other items. The android mutters to himself all the time as he works on the rooms sliding door, testing it several times till it ‘wooshes’ properly, nods to himself and leaves after getting someone to sign the work order

Left behind is a massive folder labeled ‘free data!’

Dataphiles 4/5 ⦵⦵⦵⦵

"Anyone need any technical support?"
Says the guy behind the Technical Support desk in the Lorespire Complex.

"I think we're all technical support."

Says the bearded human wearing red flannel, cap displaying Life Innovations logo, and drinking from a big mug of Cosmic Diet Slurm.

Dataphiles 1/5

Some of us are a little old-school on data storage.

Dataphiles 4/5 ⦵⦵

A well beat up ysoki sidles confidently into the room. Bedecked in all manner of gear and gadgets, he strolls, wearing a simple engineer's flight suit. "Alight folks," he says in a bit-pitched, but grizzled tone. "The real leader of the dataphiles has come and she will lead us properly. That said, Dr. Cupi is your instructor," the ysoki continues, waving his claws in a 'bring it' motion. "I've got a computer on me...hack it...if you can."

A Dragonkin pushing 14 feet tall casually unlimbers their dragonglaive and strides towards the computer, winding up for an overhead swing. "Avec plaisir, Mister Doctor!" He freezes on the downswing, the glaive's crackling edge inches away from Cupi's computer, as he spots a screen displaying a Dataphiles Meeting marquee. "Oh - my friends, I appear to be in the wrong room! Ha ha, how foolish of me!"
He lumbers towards the door, ducking slightly to fit through. His loud voice can be heard echoing outside the hallway: "Can anyone direct me to Uncle Ziggy's Funtime Exo-Guardians Mechaber Toss and Sparkly Noodle Card Jamboree? Gosh I hope I am not too late for the pajama pillow fight parade..."

Dataphiles 3/5 ⦵⦵

"A note for future meetings: lock the door."

Dataphiles 4/5 ⦵⦵⦵⦵

"Because that won't stop a Dataphile?"
Hardware grins as he asks.

From his sleeping spot hanging upside down from the ceiling Justin space googles the appropriate directions and uses a piece of yarn to hang a small com unit and sign onto the dragonkin. The sign reads "Exoguardians" while the com unit gives siri like directions and plays starsugar heart love.

Hardware grins as he asks.

"Granted good Dataphiles should be punctual and make all their deadlines, as tardiness could mean failure. That said, yes, a Dataphile should be able to bypass a simple electronic lock."

The Android stares deadpan at Hardware. "You were literally just talking to me."

Dataphiles 4/5 ⦵⦵⦵⦵

"Oh, sorry, this darn agrosync infection wont go away. It just blasted me with terrible music and put an overlay that made you look like some sort of demon or tax collector. not sure which."
Hardware shakes his head.

Sorry, missed that we were conversing on the phone

Dataphiles 4/5 ⦵⦵⦵⦵

"I have heard some people describe the Dataphiles faction goals to the uninitiated new Starfinders as 'commit crimes with computers'. Is that all we do?"
Hardware looks around.

Hardware looks around.

"No no no.. there's also.. uhm.. taco tuesdays? "

Dataphiles 1/5

Prevent crimes with computers. Of course sometimes we do both at once, depending on your point of view.

Dataphiles 4/5 ⦵⦵

The ysoki holds his hands up placatively, "Now hold on. First of all, 'crime' is very relative. It depends on where you are in the Pact. Secondly, I thought this crew was all about open information. Historia admittedly was a bit too hoardy for my liking, so I focused on the Society for a bit. Now that she's different, I'm lookin to see how things are going'."

Dataphiles 3/5 ⦵⦵

The white haired Android folds his arms. " The last few missions I did for the dataphiles we're all top secret Black ops operations, which I wasn't allowed to talk about until they became public knowledge when our fleet assaulted the jinsul in the scoured Stars. Our work may be of questionable legality," he shrugs. " but I don't really mind it so long as the work we are doing is for the purposes of intel gathering and not using our skills to oppress."
