Future of the Wardstones

Hello! I'm currently running a Wrath of the Righteous game, and my players just destroyed the Wardstone. I'm having them complete some "sidequests" in Kenabres until Queen Galfrey arrives and the next module begins.

My apologies if this question has been asked before; I'm planning forwards to when Drezen comes into play and the broader Worldwound opens up. It's my hope to include a mission to Icerift Castle... but I'm wondering how the Wardstone there should be handled, lore-wise. Or any of the Wardstones.

The books state that the Wardstones all went inert (aside from the one in kenabres, which exploded), and are no longer functional. But do they still exist in some category? My players are the sort who tend to dive after loreblurbs and try to explore the world and push boundaries, so I would very much like to be prepared for an instance of them trying to investigate the dead Wardstones.

Perhaps I'm just blind, but I havn't yet been able to find solid information on what there is to do with the Wardstones post-mythic ascension. Has anyone else had better luck? :)

There's not too much extra information in regards to the wardstones being dead other than just referring back to the adventure.

A search of previous posts in regards to Icerift will bring up most of what's out there, though Strange Aeons 3 Dreams of the Yellow King has some new info that includes Icerift in the article "Sailing the Sellen River". (Also assuming you have Castles of the Inner Sea, which has a whole article specifically on Icerift)

Also for fiction based info you should check out the web fiction Certainty by Liane Mercial (Though apparently "nexavar" has been revised out of Golarion lore, though personally I'd just use it as an unsaid material component used in the creation of magic items)
