Barbarian that recharges technology?

Advice

So I'm running Iron Gods for my players, and I'm trying to get the best bang for my buck. One thing I keep hearing in various areas (Including this forum!) is that there is a barbarian archtype or something that allows you to recharge technology. That would be absolutely perfect for what I have planned, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. The only Tech themed barbarian archtypes seem to be about breaking it, or mimicking the gunslinger.

So, anybody have any idea what their talking about? Or am I doomed to have to dip at least a couple levels into Techslinger (Thank goodness for that boon) to keep my barbarian's chainsaw powered?

Or make friends with the party's techslinger? What you need is access to a generator. Those things aren't mobile, which is why the Tech League isn't conquering the world with their barely understood tech.

The Exchange

Are you playing in this campaign or just looking for a good option for your players?

As far as your question goes, the only way to permanently add charges that I know of is the Numerian Scavenger rogue archetype, which has a (not great but far better than the average person) chance to restore charges on a glitch.

The impression I get from the phrasing of the OP's post is that he's running Iron Gods in Campaign Mode, and wants to know if there's a good solution for the character he's putting the Chronicle sheets on. ^_^

Exactly. I'm super excited to do a massive chainsaw wielding barbarian who weilds a large size chainsaw for vital strike, but bummed at the idea that I have to take random levels in techslinger to keep the thing powered since it's so off flavored. But, we do what we must, and loosing out on one level of barbarian is fine to keep my tech stuff powered.

Option 1) Make friends* with a caster that can learn the recharge spell and supply the material component for each casting

Option 2) Maximize ranks in Use Magic Device (plus the Dangerously Curious trait and/or the Skill Focus feat) and buy a wand of recharge (expensive)

Option 3) Carry a bunch of batteries and a power cable to use at every opportunity

*- I know, shocking concept

Unfortunately, none of these options are available for PFS characters.

There was a bunch of cool tech available in season 6 (I think it was 6?) That would be way cooler if it could be recharhed, rather than a bunch of one shots.

I would be very interested if there is some way to recharge things that is pfs legal.

There are chronicles that will give you a one shot recharge option, but only a couple of them. Fact of the matter is that the tech is intentionally hitched so that you'll get some enjoyment out of it but eventually you'll have to defacto retire it.

There is at least one way, although only for those with 7 levels of psychic. The psychic battery psi-tech discovery (Occult Realms 13) is fully legal. Note, however, that it doesn't work on timeworn technology.

Sadly, I'm a PFS player, so none of those are options because recharge was purposefully left out, though I'm not sure why since everything available is time worn anyways. Not even batteries apply since the item is timeworn. :(

Yeah, I totally understand why it's so restricted, the stuff is pretty darn borked, I just wish I had a little more wiggle room especially since everything is chronicle sheets anyways and it's not like it can be picked up by just anyone.
