Help me build a snowball chucking wizard

Advice

Silver Crusade

I have a blaster wizard already, but I want to build a snowball chucker and I have no clue what feats I need. The only guidelines are these:

1. PFS legal
2. Wayang race unless you have a REALLY compelling argument for another race
3. I'd prefer to be a Foresight school wizard, but it's not required

So, whatcha got?

IDK if it is PFS legal but the best snowball or Cold Blasters is IMHO:

Witch

Invoker + Winter Witch 5/Crossblooded Orc/Dragon (cold) 1/Winter Witch PrC
To be Exact

Why?

+3 damage per dice Rolled....+4 Damage per dice rolled on Cone of Cold with Alchemical Focus item (dirt cheap).

This means your Snowball flys out as 10d6+30 with Just Intensified. Cone of Cold for 15d6+60. You can now abuse Rime spell, Empower, Quicken, Dazing...or anything else to your hearts desire.

RIME is one of my favorites as Entangled is straight BRUTAL. Enemy wizard casting a Spell? A Rime + Intensified Snowball will pretty much shut him down cause him to roll concentration 2 times. Once for damage and once for entangle.

Outside PFS when you get 12+ you can just blow through Cold immunities without having to worry about element juggling. Also with +30 tagged on to each snowball you can blow through most Resist Energy spells of equal level and still accomplish 10d6 of damage.

I guess the normal way would be one level Cross blooded sorcerer with two of the following orc/draconic/elemental.

Then meta magic feats rime, empower, maximise, intensify, quicken maybe heighten as it increases time rime last for. Traits are Wayang Spell Hunter and Magical Lineage.

Consider teleportation subschool wizard. You can specialize in conjuration so you'll have an extra slot to work with and you be in fairly close range and avoid any problems by swift action teleporting. You almost never have to be worried about being grappled or making concentration camps. And of course you get all the additional goodies while chucking your snowballs. Your dex can also be super high so you likely would need much more than the metamagic feats.

I would recommend the following to bump caster levels:

+1 Irrisen Icemage (lvl 1 feat)
+1 Varisian Tattoo Archetype
+1 Gifted Adept Trait
+1 Urea Alchemical Component
+2 (Spell Focus) and Spell Specialization

I have these laid out to keep CL maxed out most levels, even with intensified spell, then plan to use retraining rules to move from snowball to ice spear.

Why Gifted Adept over Wayang Spellhunter or Magical Lineage?

Spell focus doesn't increase CL tho. Just the DC.

I love the winter witch build but I don't have the books for it. I'll probably do the 1 level dip for crossblooded sorcerer though.

Which is likely why it is in parenthesis, it is a prerequisite for Spell Specialization which does provide the +2 to caster level.

Why Gifted Adept over Wayang Spellhunter or Magical Lineage?

They are good too. My character went human so he could have both Irrisen Icemage and Extra Traits (Spellhunter and Gifted Adept.) The other traits I chose to make him more versatile outside of combat.

One thing to consider is a metamagic rod eventually to allow snowballs to hit as acid balls/ ash balls/ electric balls. Immune to cold makes the single spell focus tricky.

I have a conjurer wayang in PFS who uses Snowball as one of his primary damage output sources. I keep it pretty simple, but I use Wayang Magehunter and Magical Lineage to dip the metamagic adjustment, empower them all, and intensify them all. I then bought a minor rod of maximize, which lets me drop 90 cold/hit. I have room for another +1 metamagic, but I don't have much I want to throw it at. It looks like there are a few more methods though from what I've seen in this thread, so there is room to improve.
