PFS Campaign with Iron Gods AP and season 6.

Silver Crusade 2/5

Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out a good way of running the module parts of Iron Gods with PFS. So far I have a idea on how to start it, but not necessarily how how to implement it.

Start off with two evergreen scenarios, then Murder's Mark. Afterwards, the first module part of Iron Gods. But I am not sure what to run after that. So any help and advice would be great.

It's not really a natural fit. The S6 scenarios are rather PFS-oriented (taking place mostly far away from Numeria) and Iron Gods sort of expects you to be staying inside the country, pursuing the lead story. So storywise it takes a lot of engineering to make it fit.

If you're only interested in running the sanctioned bits - you're basically doing the last 25% of every chapter in the AP. The "we're going in here to kill people, we don't really know why, that part was before the sanctioned bit."

You also run into the issue that about half the AP takes place in Seeker levels.

So long story short, it's really not a great fit. Best I can say is that the two PFS scenarios that take place in Numeria could be very good as sidequests in Iron Gods.

True and I agree, but the same thing could be said for most other APs and some modules, except for maybe Shattered Star. I understand that it is a challenge to figure it out how to get it to work, but that is the reason I am asking for assistance to figure out how.

Now if I wasn't too clear, I wanted help to make this work. Be it with scenarios or modules that seem to work with it, and level placement of the module parts of the AP.

Now this bit is a bit crass on my part, but I do not mean any offense, just annoyance but the comment. But if you want to lampoon it, simply for the fact that it "doesn't fit" for your tastes, doesn't mean I, or anyone else think the same. So please, if that is all the constructive criticism you have, I rather see about figuring out how to get this to work.

But thank you for your advice.

Trial by Machine might be a decent plot hook to send people off to Numeria to do the Iron Gods path, in which case you would want to run it before part 1.

I didn't mean it as a snark at you. Just giving my opinion that the way they're written, they're not built to be run as one, even though they have a thematic match.

What you can do though is use the scenarios to fix something a lot of people feel is lacking in the AP: the Technic League stays too much out of sight during the early books. In the PFS scenarios however they're primary antagonists.
