Witch familiar as a tattoo

Rules Questions

What I'd like to do is basically have my familiar be able to "merge" with my body and become like a tattoo at will. In this case it couldn't be targeted directly or anything, but if I die, it would die. Short of a wish spell, how could one make this happen?

A one-level dip in tattooed sorcerer should do it. ^_^

Plus, you can probably get a cool bloodline arcana with which to enhance your witch spells.

Any way to do it as a pure witch?

Not that I know of, I'm afraid. Consider asking your GM if you can replace your first-level hex with the tattooed sorcerer's ability, like a mini-archetype. That's probably not too unreasonable. Otherwise, maybe a custom magic item. ^_^

A Tumor Familiar could merge with your body, though of course it wouldn't become a tattoo.

If you really want to make things complicated, you could play a Beast-Bonded Witch and have your Familiar take over a Tattoo Guardian.

Tumor Familiar is for alchemists and I'm building a witch. I'd like to keep it easy. I just want to keep my familiar safe. I read about a satchel item that technically protects it, but the tattoo thing fits the concept a little better.

Does your concept allow you to play a LN witch with an affinity for machines?

If so, get a Arbiter Inevitable with Improved Familiar. With regeneration/chaos, it will be harder to kill than your PC.

A synergist witch can merge with their familiar, though not as a mere tattoo. You'd have to be OK with showing animal features.
