HELP! Where to find a DM (San Antonio, Texas)

Advice

I'm looking for a DM for 3.5 or PF. Our group is in San Antonio Texas. Either me or my friend always have to be the DM. Its been years since we have actually played together. Any advice on how or where to find one would be appreciated.

I'm from San Antonio, so I might be able to give you a few pointers. When I was looking for gamers I put up fliers at several of the Comics Unlimited locations. I'm not sure if they exist any more, but you could start there or whatever the local gaming stores are now. They were always helpful in my search to find gamers.

I've mostly used forum boards since those days. I've used Meetup and Penandpapergames to try and find gamers. I think you might find both of those particularly helpful in your search. Good luck!

You might want to look for any public Pathfinder Society games going in the area. You and your friend could go play some single session games together that way. Even if you're not interested in Society play, it's still a good way to meet people, and see if anyone's interested in running a campaign on the side.

I'd check at Dragon's Lair on Fredericksburg road, as they are the most prominent gaming store in the area, with 50% or so of their floorspace dedicated to hosting games and events. There are a number of other comic/gaming stores in the area, such as Heroes & Fantasies and Alien Worlds that are worth a check, too.

I'd volunteer myself, but my work schedule is such that I barely have time to play games within my family, let alone commit to a weekly-or-so game.

Silver Crusade

Alien Worlds is mostly dedicated to comics and wargaming, I haven't found any RPGs being played there.

There is an Obsidian Portal for the PFS here, but I will have to post it for you later as I am away from my computer.

There's a coffee shop/gaming store that I like. Magic Beans Cafe. Not that I ever get around to going, but I think they have Adventurer's League and they have Pathfinder games sometimes too. Might also be a place to look.

They're less gaming store, more coffee shop, but it's definitely a place where you're meant to sit for hours and game.

Google says the address is 15139 Bulverde Rd #103, San Antonio, TX 78247. I don't remember if that's right, but I googled my way there before, so I can only assume so.

I also like Dragon's Lair like was already stated. Never played a game there, but they're where I get most of my dice and books I don't order from here.

Didn't know there were so many San Antonians here. Hi guys!

If you and your friend always GM for each other aren't there others in your group who could take a turn? Assuming there are at least three of you.
