Is a bladebound Magus able to have the Shadow Companion from the Shadowdancer class? RAW I would assume so, as it specifically calls for Familiars and not companions of any kind.
What ability are you referencing from Shadowdancer?
The Summon Shadow ability from a 3rd lvl shadow dancer gives a Shadow companion. Just making sure if my Magus goes Shadow Dancer the companion will be usable, and not made unobtainable by having a Black Blade.
Summon shadow is not a familiar. It is fine with a bladebound
Bladebound specifies cannot have a Familiar. You could still have an Animal Companion, Arcane bound item, Mount, Drake, Cohort, or...yes..a Shadow.
