Getting Oracles Curse on a Non Oracle

Advice

Silver Crusade

Is there any way (other than multiclassing) for a non Oracle to get an Oracles Curse?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Variant Multiclassing, which is different than regular multiclassing.

Pact Wizard gets a half-progression curse.

Need it for anything in particular?

Silver Crusade

I have a character concept that is best served by the Haunted Curse. But would also be better served as something other than an Oracle.

Thanks for the suggestions

I think Oracle's can give all the disadvantages in a spell.

Probably not what you're looking for.

I would argue Bestow Curse could do it. Seems appropriate compared to the other stuff on the list.

As far as I can tell, he wants the actual oracle curse class feature and not just the hindrances, which would be well out of the scope of even bestow curse, greater.

Plus an oracle's "curse" is generally more of a boon than a hindrance, as long as you have the right attitude about it. Even at level one. (Though some of the curses are absolutely horrible)

It's why I tend to think of them as blessings with a side-effect.

A Bestow Curse version of Oracle's Burden should be fine - the hindrances with none of the benefits. In fact, that puts most of the curse effects not only in-line, but rather weak. I'd let a PC have that for free :P

But if you want the full-on curse+benefis, then VMC Oracle is my recommendation. It's one of the better VMC's anyway, since revelations are often as good as feats.
