WHEN WILL THE ICONIC MYSTIC BE REVEALED? GIVE IT TO ME!!!
But seriously, great interview guys. The reasons for making Androids canonically more likely to be agender make perfect sense and don't just seem like they were tacked on for diversity's sake, so props for that.
now all i need to do is wait for the hot lashunta iconic that we are eagerly awaiting to be revealed

Aw heck, before I was just really looking forward to Starfinder, now I just can't wait. And it's still eight months away.
I really love the amount of thought and the awesome ideas that are going into this game. I imagine one of the biggest challenges will be to fit everything into a single rule book, and that sort of concerns me. Rather than compromise, maybe it would be better to launch with two rule books, one for the players, another for the GM?
When it comes to novels and comics, I really hope these do eventuate. There's nothing like reading stories, and gawking at pretty pictures, to bring a setting to life.

I hope there will be additional alternate racial traits that will make the races fit in better with the futuristic setting.
Dwarves could get a metal-based alternative to Stonecunning, to help them navigate artificial underground or orbiting structures.
Elves would probably get a bonus to resisting sedatives and tranquilizers. (Cue Legolas drinking Gimli under the table)
Goblins might get bonuses to Drive and Stealth (assuming two-wheeled vehicles aren't covered by the Ride skill). I can just picture a horde of screaming goblins with battle armor and lances, charging forward on motorbikes (and the occasional rocket-propelled unicycle and segway)

i am interested in these androids who pursue their machine heritage, racial prestige class maybe? didnt 4th edition have something for Warforged to become more Golem like? It would be fun to see something similar here.
I am hoping that one of the remaining, unannounced races will do for robots what warforged did for constructs, so that we can have a playable race of droids.

Isn't that just the androids?

No. Androids are more similar to what you can find in Astro Boy (title character; other robots are obvious in appearance), Aliens (Bishop), Prometheus (David), Blade Runner, The Last Starfighter (Beta), Star Trek (Data and Ilia), Vision (Avengers Age of Ultron), and Austin Powers (Fembots) but more obvious and not as well disguised or appearing like colored, neon-lit humans. I am talking about playing:
K2-S0, R2-D2, C3-P0, Chopper, battle droids, BB-8, and HK-47 (from Star Wars)
Ultron (Avengers Age of Ultron)
Sonny (I, Robot)
B.E.N. (Treasure Planet)
Robot (Lost in Space)
Police Robots (from Elysium)
The Fix-Its (Batteries Not Included)
Percy & Buford (Ice Pirates)
Dot Matrix (Spaceballs)
Baymax (Big Hero 6)
VINCENT, BOB, and Maximillian (The Black Hole)
WALL-E, EVE, and other robots (from WALL-E)
In other words, robots that are obviously robots and were never meant to appear or be disguised as humans. I don't want lips, noses, ears, tongues, and eyelids on my droids and sometimes I might want droids that get around on wheels, treads, spider legs, by hovering, or roll around on the entirety of their body.

That was the vibe I was getting from androids who reject gender identity. I would be surprised if the ones who seek excessive modification count as a separate race. A race restricted class perhaps or just a generic cyborg class that over time alters thing like race that androids have a strong bonus with.

Eh, most of those seem like constructs with racial hit die to me, but to each his own, I guess.

Sure, but that is only in the social and mental sense, not their physicality. I want to be able to play CHAPPIE, Johnny Five, Chopper, or Tweekie. Don't get me wrong, I love the android and I am super glad they are in the game and should definitely be put in with a priority over what I am advocating, but I do want my CHAPPIEs and HK-47s, as well. Because, to me, they and androids are not the same thing.

I literally could not stop squeeing and dancing as I was reading that article.
About the debuting at GenCon thing: will the Core Rulebook and the first AP be debuting at GenCon, or will there be live demos and such? If it's the latter, then I might actually go next year.
Both will be available for sale at Gen Con, AND there will be live demos!
