Wemics have a body of a lion with a humanoid torso extending from what would be the lion’s neck. From head to rump, they are 10 to 12 feet long, while are 6 to 7 feet tall when standing erect. Their entire bodies are covered in dusky golden fur, and the tail is tipped with a brush of black hair. Adult males have a mane of long black hair that covers the top and back of the head and extends down to the neck and shoulders. Their underbellies are white. A wemic’s face is a mixture of human and leonine features, with a black or russet nose, gold eyes with catlike pupils, and high-set ears. All six limbs end in claws; the claws on the humanoid arms and leonine forelimbs and retractable.

I don’t care ppl keep asking for wemic stats. So here you go. Would like your input I will update the first post as we go there this.

The centaur had a part in this. I kept the HD but the CR had to change using pathfinder rules. I need some ideas for 2 Feats and a Language

So what do you think so far? I started this so fire a way.

Changing the name from wemic to something else would fix the first problem. :)

As to language i would consider having them use a tribal tounge rather than a global language so a "wemic" from the Ashirikk tribe would speak Ashiri and one from the Karrtic tribe would speak Karrtic whereas a gathering of the tribes would likely use Sylvan to communicate

Feat wise i'd conisider skill focus stealth as you seem to have forgotten to factor in size on the stealth skill and possibly alertness for those keen hunting senses.

SA: Pounce.

They should have this.

Leonids?
Lionars?
Cattaur?
Lamia? (giggle)
Thundercats? (HAHAHA)

Ohh...
Under that last idea, maybe not limit them to Lions per se..
maybe in jungle environs they're like Leopards or Tigers, while in the plains they are lion-like?
This may give you a little divergance from Wemic and make it your own.
Maybe they refer to themselves as "The Pride" or "The Tribe" without disctintion, and tribal leaders from the various cat forms travel to a speaking stone and share info or tribal histories, etc...

Umm you can go online to various language sites and type in cat people or lion folk and see if a cool sounding name in a nother language fits.

If you re not going to make up their own then i would go with sylvan and look to languages like gnoll, orc, goblin, and gnome for bonuses as those would seem to me to be the most likey peoples they would interact with in a savana like setting

Oops my 3.5 days were showing i forgot its 3 and 5 hd :) as to a third feat Run or improved inititive would both be good choices, in fact you could just give them the same 3 feats lions get.

This will make them all kinds of scary but then as they are not a standard pc race thats no problem :)

There are plenty of creatures that get bonuses to part of a skill so just adding +8 to jump should be fine in my opinion.

i like the ideas dones one have more or any thing i need to fix

Just request that you update this with any differences with other cat types so I can snag it for my homebrew :)

As a longtime wemic fan (My wemic site has been online for more than 10 years), here are some ideas for you. First off, I prefer "liontaur." I've also seen cat-taur (used in the series by Stephen Brust), felitaur, leonid, and similar constructions. For exotic authenticity, try "urmahlullu," the actual name of ancient Assyrian wemics.

For those concerned about copyright, although WotC owns "wemic," fantastical centaur creatures that are lions from the waist down have appeared not only in ancient Assyrian art but also in Middle Ages English heraldry.

An online 50-strong play-by-post Pathfinder community called the Wold uses liontaurs, centaurs, and minotaurs as player character races that have no racial hit dice and no "level adjustment."

Also consider that some lamia in D&D are very liontaur-like.

as im reading more in this i starting to like the name "liontaur." should i not use the name "wemic." at all. change the wemic names to liontaur?

like this
Fierce hunters that roam the plains, liontaur are masters of ambushes and strategy.
Liontaur have a body of a lion with a humanoid torso extending from what would be the lion’s neck. From head to rump, they are 10 to 12 feet long, while are 6 to 7 feet tall when standing erect. Any really, but I see your point, it'd only require a minor tweak.

Ok so for a playable character it would be, and please correct me if I am wrong on this.

+6 strength and dexterity, +2 constitution and charisma, and -2 intelligence and wisdom

dot.
More formal wording on racial skill bonus would be "+8 racial bonus on acrobatics checks to jump".

Also if the claws on the humanoids arm are usable that should be made clear and they should maybe do damage as 1 size smaller.
