Adjusting XP in Mythic

Rules Questions

Does the mythic tier adjust the CR? The rules as I read them aren't quite clear. Does a CR1/M1 count as a CR2 or equivalent or has that already been pre-factored? Party just had their first Mythic encounter and I'd hate to short them a few xp.

A mythic tier is worth approximately 1/2 CR, usually rounded up. A CR1/MR1 should count as a CR1 encounter - I believe the CR of a mythic creature includes its mythic bonus, and the MR is basically just a quick notation for how mythic the creature is.

Rednal is correct: the CR for a mythic creature already includes the adjustment for mythic rank. Easy example: Troll, normally CR 5. Half of 5 is 2.5, rounded down to 2. Mythic rank is therefore 2. Half of 2 is 1. 1 added to a troll's base CR of 5 is 6.

So, without even looking, I know that a mythic troll will have CR6/MR 2, and I leave it to others to actually look that up.
