In my personal opinion, Eberron is the more progressive setting and more interesting/innovative as well.

Well I've been avoiding the more egregious stuff like the pushing of rape as a plot point because of tradition??? and imitation of bad writing.

Locking. It's fine to compare/contrast different RPG settings on our forums. However, the premise here seems to encourage an "us vs them" dialogue (similar to how edition warring posts are) and is seeking to affirm a preconceived idea, rather than having a constructive discussion.
