"share spells" for summoner / eidolon

Rules Questions

"The summoner may cast a spell with a target of “you” on his eidolon (as a spell with a range of touch) instead of on himself. A summoner may cast spells on his eidolon even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the eidolon’s type (outsider). Spells cast in this way must come from the summoner spell list."

this is the description of this ability...but it isn't specified the distance to cast the spell a "as a spell with a range of touch"...which is this range?

"Range of touch" is the range. It means that to impart a personal spell to your eidolon, you must be directly adjacent to it and able to touch it.

Rules regarding range are in the Magic section of the core rulebook.
