I am running in to a lost of crating a back ground story for this character. I plan to run in a game. If any of you help me out with a back ground story or stories would be great. Here is a detail of of this character.

Note: Activating the master's Shared Vigilance ability will activate this ability, too.
Tenacious Guardian (Ex) At 3rd level, a bodyguard can always act in a surprise round (though it remains flat-footed until it acts). As long as its master is adjacent, a bodyguard remains conscious (though it becomes staggered) when its hit points fall below 0. While below 0

I like to start by crafting a story from the mechanics in cases like this, where you have a build you want. How did they get to the material plane? How did they learn a chelish fighting style? What is their relationship to fey? If they started as a fighter, how were they inducted as a holy warrior? Etc.


Here is the only paladinish backstory I have (it was for an aasimar shield champion brawler):

"I am _____, Captain of the Watch, Protector of the Innocent, Smiter of Evil, Bane of the Desecrators and Last born of the Ivory Wings. I am descended from a long line of Paladins who swore an oath to forever protect our clan. From a young age I was trained in combat; I spent years turning my body into a deadly weapon capable of smiting the evil that plagued my people. I toiled daily in the hopes that one day my father would deem me worth of donning the sacred armor and wielding the ancestral blade that has led us to victory since time immemorial. Until then I was placed in charge of the watch the soldiers who guarded our clan from the encroaching evil.
Our settlement was in the shadow of a mountain that was teaming with Tieflings, Goblins and other evil beings. We did our best not only to stem the flow of evil, but to push it back and exterminate all that were unclean and unfit to dwell in this realm or any other. After generations of bloodshed, the evil forces gathered their might for a full frontal assault on us. I led the Watch into ferocious battle, tearing those fiendish devils limb from limb. In the end our forces were overrun and the onslaught of filth slaughtered those I was sworn to protect. The desecrated our temple and beheaded and consumed my father. The sacred relics of my ancestors destroyed and everything I had worked for my entire life was reduced to nothing in a single night. I awoke injured under a pile of bodies with none of my people left alive. I left my post in disgrace with only my fists and a shield and wandered the earth looking for evil that I could punish."

Feel free to borrow any or all of it if you think it suits your character. This was for a level 1 campaign, for level 8 I would try and work in how I obtained specific abilities.
