My wife noticed the Kickstarter for Playbook for Android was cancelled last week, and then found this post on their blog - the company is closing its doors for good. We had not subscribed to Playbook for Pathfinder (we have invested heavily in Hero Lab licenses and aren't likely to make a change unless forced to) but it looked like a good product and a well-made app on the iPad, and based on an interview I heard with the developers, they were enthusiastic about Pathfinder and had big plans for the future of the app. Sorry to see the company close.
That's a shame! I had reason to speak to a few people who worked there a while back and they were all very nice, very cool, very competent people from what I could tell. Great product too. I hope someone, somewhere, somehow picks up the torch.
Didn't this whole path all get started because they refused to subscribe to being a Wizards of the Coast asset with a nickel-and-dime mindset?
I've been charged subscription fees the last two months. When I opened the app after the last charge, I wasn't able to open the settings and cancel the subscription. Has anyone else run into that or do I just need to contact Apple for them to cancel it manually?
A friend of mine had the same problem. I told them to cancel the subscription through Itunes.
