The player's guide is just a free document to help players make characters suitable for the AP (it provides campaign traits etc). There's no GM's guide because all that stuff (gazetteers for important locations, stats on important NPCs and items etc) are in the AP itself.
To run it, all a GM should need is the AP itself, and the core rulebook (unless they've updated the AP to use rules that were introduced after that, but even then they'll either be listed in the AP itself or available from the Pathfinder Reference Document, found on the left hand navigation bar of this website). Bestiaries would be a nice to have, but if it's a Paizo creature that is in one of the Bestiaries, you'll be able to find it in the PRD as well, and if it's not there, the full stats will be in the AP.

Hello Malaiit,
The folks in this thread have covered it. You only need the Adventure Path, the Core Rulebook, and the Bestiary. There are some other items that may be useful, but aren't necessary.
The Player's Guides are free PDFs we release with each Adventure Path to give players some information about the area the game takes place and to help them make characters that are connected to the Adventure Path. The Player's Guide for Curse of the Crimson Throne was written for the original version of the Adventure Path which used the Dungeons and Dragon 3.5 edition rules, so some of the rules elements in it, like traits, may need to be reviewed if you choose to use it.
There will be a set of Curse of the Crimson Throne Pawns. These are cardboard miniatures that use the art from the book for the various characters and monsters in the Adventure Path.
As someone up thread mentioned, The Guide to Korvosa can be a very useful book as much of the Adventure Path takes place there.

Ok yes the Adventure path. can someone link the ap that I am supposed to get. Is it:
Pathfinder #7—Curse of the Crimson Throne Chapter 1: "Edge of Anarchy" (OGL)Is that what I need to get as the first part of this?
Mmmm. I'm not certain what you're shooting for here.
Curse of the Crimson Throne was a normal adventure path, which means there were six books which together formed the full path. You can still buy those in PDF form but I think most/all of the physical books are out of print and out of stock.
That said, Paizo updated the AP last month, and unified it all into one single book. This is - by far - the better purchase, but in this case, you've got a higher price-tag because it's the combination of all six original books.
So if you're looking to just dabble, Edge of Anarchy as you've found is a $14 PDF but it only gets you the first 1/6th of the AP, and it's using D&D 3.5e rules (which isn't a huge deal).
If you're looking to do it right, you want one single product:
Here. That's $42 for the PDF, but it's all six books, new rules, new content, and just... better. The hardcover is $60 and does NOT include the PDF unless you are already an adventure path subscriber, which I imagine you are likely not.
