making a gunslinger. which trait should i choose?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

i am wondering if i should choose either never stop shooting or a +2 to Initiative. i already have 9 to my Initiative.

Personally I'd go for that to Init and outdraw those yellow bellied varmits and hope that I was never in so dire a straits that I needed to shoot them while my guts were falling out.

I'd say init is less situational and would get more mileage. But Never Stop Shooting may make for a memorable final stand.

I personally like Never Stop Shooting. However, since Diehard is sucky anyways the better choice is +2 to Initiative.

"diehard" allows you to move and "never stop shooting" wouldn't the combo allow you to keep moving and fighting?

Yeah but all it takes to knock out someone using Diehard is 1 point of non-lethal damage. It's not very good insurance.

Never Stop Shooting would be my suggestion. If the chips (And your party are down) and the enemy's about to die as well, sometimes a few extra shots is all you need.

It's saved my ass once or twice.

if you can move you can drink a health potion right?

Not with Never Stop Shooting.

However, you can use your actions only to draw a firearm, reload a firearm, or attack with a firearm.

Reactionary is nice for the +2 Initiative, and Never Stop Shooting is good too. I found that grabbing a trait that gives you Disable Device as a Class Skill has been very helpful, since you have the big DEX bonus to use. I have been in too many parties that don't have any trap disarming ability, and even if you can't disable magical traps, it has proven very useful on many occasions.

i have disable devise and disable magic traps covered.

thanks for your guys help

I like armor expert for most of the characters I build, mostly lessons learned from bad climb and swim checks, but that is just personal preference.
