I shudder to think that a year from now the Dev team neglects to properly give Kobolds their due space on Asteroids and Moons through the system to mine hollow for profit and exploitation.

Just think of it, orbital space stations filled to the brim with a rainbow of mini-dragons all chomping at the bit to get just past that next Thorium vein, space diamonds galore!

weaponize them. 1) orbital bombardment of hardened Kobold eggs. 2) return to planet in 20 years when its completely overrun. 3) make surviving on the planet for a set period of time a right of passage among your people. (plus tons of low level mobs to wipe out guilt free and XP heavy)

Kobolds were carried by helpful masters into space, where they promptly stole supplies and escape pods and, through a complicated and disastrous mixup, scattered their species to every corner of the galaxy. This has had truly horrific consequences for would-be miners and explorers, who now must contend with the fact that every asteroid, every meteor, is a potential kobold hive just waiting to eviscerate any who try to enter.

Or another way to put it, "dude, just use the mining laer to cut up the asteroid at a distance. I dont know why but you usually get a level or two out of doing it that way and there are all kinds of archaic melee weapons and gold coins left behind in the debris field."

I think they made a computer game of this.

Kobold Space Program.

Do not let the squishy warm-bloods steal the fruits of our labor! Show these intruders who's the boss! The Upraised Claw commands it!

You think the kobolds don't have tech of their own? Firing a laser would probably just trigger explosives and blow all that precious ore to kingdom come. Or result in the laser being reflected back. Or it would cut through the outer layer of the asteroid, which is chock-full of giant space stirges. Or they'd start launching oozes and crystal "rust monster pods" at the enemy ship.

Obviously the kobold started up their own space program to help them worship outer dragons

This... all of this.

Can you imagine an adamantine rocket ship built by kobolds?

KOBOLDS IN SPACE?!

Perfect!

ONE MORE SPECIES FOR THE IMPERIAL GOBLIN SPACE NAVY (ships that can actually fly pending) TO DECIMATE (decimation may vary. Percentage of goblin casualties determined by whimsy and/or boredom. Satisfaction not guaranteed) IN GLORIOUS BATTLE!

We also need gremlins in space. Little space creatures that sabotage spaceship engines just like their Earthbound kin did to aircraft in WW2.

do Fey belong in deep space, away from nature?

What about space makes it less a part of nature than, say, the sky?

Plot twist, they are have grown from being the ankle biters we all know and love to being a major space military power that has dragons working for them.

a general absence of life, micro or macro.

I don't accept the premise that space is artificial or that fey have to be connected to nature.

A fey is a creature with supernatural abilities and connections to nature or to some other force or place.

"Sir! The life signs detector is going crazy, it says they are hundreads of them all around us!"

"That can't be right, the hall is empty...oh, oh no, they are in the air vents!"

"Who built this Space Station anyway?"

"Well, according to these records I just pulled up, the original owner was the Tucker Corporation-"

"Oh crap. Fall back! FALL BACK!!!"

If you can't wait for your Kobold Fix from Paizo, you can get it via the Starfarer's Companion now!

We at Rogue Genius Games knew the kobolds would be furious, and did our best to placate them with all of the asteroids (and 1980s Flash Gordon-esque Space Suits) we could find!

And those kobolds really evolved during the Gap, becoming slightly stronger (going from -4 Str to -2 Str) and much tougher (going from -2 Con to +2 Con). I shudder to think what might have happened to full blooded orcs under the same conditions.

Just think of how problematic a kobold-built ship would be; the passages probably all have four foot high ceilings, tiny little rooms, air ducts too small for any medium creature to squeeze into. I pity the Vesk marine platoon assigned to board it. They'll probably all get knocked out just by repeatedly banging their heads on things, nevermind the antipersonnel systems all over the ship.

The race was wiped out by a parasitic race leaving a legion of resilient hybrids with acidic blood.

They put away their aboriginal culture and got civilized.

I'd imagine Kobolds are first class citizens in the Drakelands. They probably make up the bulk of its military black ops division. They probably make for popular saboteurs in PMCs.
