Counterspelling

Rules Questions

Can a wand be used to counterspell a spell as it is being cast?

I see no reason why it wouldn't work. The spell is being used from a wand, and it works just as if it had come from a caster directy.

... if you have a wand with the right spell (or dispel magic which works in most cases) in hand.

while the counter spell section says "cast a spell", it seems logical and reasonable to allow spell completion or spell trigger items.
The prerequisites are having a ready action to counterspell a specific target and succeeding on a spellcraft check vs DC15+spell level to identify the spell being cast.
