Season 7 Sovereign Court Faction card question

Can I use the (2+ goal) reward: Confidante to complete the goal "Forgo your downtime to reinforce your political connections. Doing so requires a successful Knowledge (local) or Knowledge (nobility) check equal to 15 plus you level."???

So the Confidante is used during the adventure and the Downtime check is after the adventure.

I was unsure when an adventure ended (you could say the adventure never ends, lol). I was thinking it would be included due to still being at the table but clearly does not fir the the reward.

If you want to be pedantic you could say it says "forgo your downtime" (which can be announced before the adventure ends), not "use your downtime to", and therefore allow it.

Personally, I'd allow it. There are other good uses for Knowledge checks in most scenarios, which you'd give up to complete a faction mission. If people want to focus on the role their faction plays for their character, I don't see a reason not to let them.
