A Half-Fiend Druid Wildshapes Into A...?

My question is this...if a Druid already has a template like Half-Fiend/Celestial/Dragon/etc, what parts of their template, if any, continue to function once they wildshape into, say, a dinosaur?

It's been pretty clearly laid out (IMHO) that, per RAW, you cannot W/S into a templated creature (e.g. no Dire-Apes with Advanced template). But what if the base creature already has a template? Does W/S also 'remove' that template in the new form?

If it's 'some-yes/some-no', things can get tricky with some of the more involved templates. A half-dragon Druid that W/S into a dinosaur now has to consider what happens to their:

1. Ability score mods
2. Any elemental resistances/immunities
3. Flight from wings
4. Claws/bite attacks
5. Senses (Darkvision, low light vision, blind sense, etc)
6. Damage resistance
7. Spell Like or Supernatural abilities

...to name just a few things.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Specifically, you lose any abilities tied to your physiology. This includes natural attacks, senses and movement speeds, which are replaced by the same type of abilities the new form has(dependent on the polymorph spell). You also lose all extraordinary and supernatural abilities tied to your original form.(heavily reliant on GM adjudication) If you have a class feature which is tied to your body somehow, it will also no longer function. Though if the ability allows you to grow something, such as growing claws, those still work.

Otherwise you keep all the other stuff. You will still be a half-fiend, or whatever you are. You just look like a regular dinosaur now.

Your ability scores will not be modified unless the polymorph spell specifically says they are modified... and only then are they modified by the amount listed in the effect. Unless your original form is smaller than small or larger than medium, then you follow the size change table and finally you apply the polymorph effect's ability score modifications.

Your resistances and immunities may be related to your original form and will need GM adjudication.

Your wings will be gone, as will all your movement speeds. To be replaced by the new form's movement speeds.

Your natural attacks will be gone and replaced by the new form's natural attacks.

Your senses will be gone and replaced by the new form's senses. Unless you have a sense that is not tied to your original form.

Damage resistance is a supernatural effect which may be tied to your original form, but does not have to be. So it may or may not be removed, it is up to the GM.

Spell like abilities do not get removed. But any supernatural ability which is tied to your original form(such as a beam attack that comes from a specific eye) is removed. All other supernatural abilities are not removed.

You might get closer to the effect you want going Demon Possessed rather than Half-Fiend.
