Wall of Ice's hemisphere & Widen Spell metamagic feat?

Rules Questions

Does the hemisphere created by Wall of Ice, given that its based on radius, qualify for the Widen Spell metamagic feat?

Any guidance available on this?

No. It is neither a burst, spread, or emanation spell.

More specifically, wall of ice is not an 'area' spell. It is an effect spell. It creates something that may be a certain size or length, that you can often shape or place as you like in an area, but is not itself an area spell. Similar to how you can't Widen a summon monster to summon a normally large creature and it appears at huge or larger size just because it's normally 10x10 when it shows up.

I believe the feat used to apply to line-effects as well (and the descriptions I am reading online still mention a fourth aspect over and above spread, burst, and emanation, so maybe poor editing), but even applying to line effects still wouldn't apply to your typical wall of ... spell.
