Armor special abilities

Advice

Dark Archive

I am curious as to how monks gain access to armor abilities (such as shadow or defiant) without using armor. By using armor or a shield they lose the AC from wisdowm. Is their a way to obtain some of these abilities w/out using armor or a shield? I'm not looking to add an AC armor bonus, but rather other abilities, but I do realize there is usually, but not always, a prerequisite to have a +1 on the armor. This is more to be inline with Pathfinder Society.

For an ability like Defiant, which has an enhancement equivalent value, the most straightforward approach would be to use Bracers of Armor. For 4000 gp you could buy +1 Defiant Bracers of Armor.

Special abilities like Shadow, which have a flat gp cost, can't be added to Bracers of Armor. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a way to get those without actually wearing armor.

Only potential thing I see is this, but that would be for just 30 minutes a day if it even works. http://www.archivesofnethys.com/MagicArmorDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Evolving

But I'm not sure how this gets you Shadow?

If the armor was also Shadow, you would still have that effect during the 30 minutes the armor is absorbed. It says so specifically.
