The PCs returned the horses after the rescue of Areal and managed to calm down Thesing. I had him brag about the show and a few of the PCs now want to attend. The PCs want to go and see the performance. One of them reminded me of the theater adventure in the back of the D20 Cthulu book I had run about 10 years ago so it made me want to put something together. Any suggestions on a one session theater based scenario would be welcome ( from the audience side of the stage as six fold is coming up) but specifically any ideas where I can get a theater map and any suggestions for a tentacled monster that would he appropriate for 2nd level PCs?

Check out the Pathfinder Society adventure Amoung the Living.

While it is set in Taldor, it should be adaptable to Cheliax. Do read the reviews, however, as I believe that they would help with the adapting part.

Spoiler:
One thing I would definitely suggest is to not have all the NPCs so quickly murdered by the zombie horde. This gives the PCs a chance to rescue some people and feel more heroic (and will also encourage them to explore more of the buidling).

Also, the "bad guys" in this need not be Zyphus cultists. Kuthanites would fit better into the AP's storyline.

There's the ghelarn (originally in Iron Gods) if you want a tentacle-y CR 2 thing, though I don't know if it would entirely fit the theater environment. Might take a bit of re-skinning/flavoring.

Although my instant thought for an audience-based theater adventure has the theater being haunted by something. But I don't know if that's the direction you want to go.
