If its in the Paizo SRD it's legal, if not it's not.

So Animal Ally feat is illegal? I thought about making a horse that will not die from first breath weapon.

Silver Crusade

DarkPhoenixx, Animal Ally will not be legal. But if players want mounts that scale with them in survivability, I'm sure we can work that out.

I hope my character's alignment doesn't detract from my chances :x Lawful evil is my favorite alignment to play~ I know how to RP well enough to maintain coordination with the party and to be discreet enough not to warrant a Paladin's smite :D

Okay, after eating too much for the holiday and contemplating Swordlord awesomeness, I have a submission. I know there were a couple more Swordlord aspirants out there, good luck to you guys.

"Alecksi the Ostentatious " Alecksander Paveldrago
Statistics: 13, 18, 12, 10, 12, 13
CG Human Fighter (Aldori Swordlord)
Traits: Sword Scion, Poverty-Stricken, Pride, Reactionary
Feats: EWP-Aldori Dueling Sword, Weapon Finesse, Weapon Focus: Aldori Dueling Sword, Shamed (Story)
Skills: Acrobatics 1(5), Intimidate 1(5), Sense Motive 1(2), Survival, (6)

Three sentences: Believing he has something to prove, Alecksi trained on his own very hard to become excellent with the Aldori dueling sword so that when he came of age he could win back the respect he believed his family was due. He called in some favors to get assigned to explore the greenbelt after he was excluded from a local tournament on a technicality of his heritage as opposed to his actual skill, which despite being untrained rivals and surpasses others of his age. He desires to prove himself and the honor of his mother who used to claim that a one night stand with a Rogarvian prince was where the child came from because of which they have suffered economic and social hardships.

Silver Crusade

Sir Culer? Is he from Brevoy, if so what city so I can think about hooks tying back to Brevoy.

Silver Crusade

Faore, don't worry about alignment. LE is a solid alignment to play, the only alignment that really causes me to raise an eyebrow is CE and even then, I just want to make sure you're a Murder Hobo who's at least careful about not being caught.

Ah, I guess during an edit, I left out that he grew up in Restov, just a local troublemaker sent on a suicide mission.

The Exchange

Darvan grew up in Bloodcove in the Mwangi expanse, but he is distinctively of Ulfen descent. When Darvan became self-sufficient he left Bloodcove, traveling the wilderness of the world. He is currently seeking his sister who was taken by bandits (which is why he's so keen to run down and question bandits in the Greenbelt).

I have also updated Darvan's gear, link to profile here for your convenience. Always love feedback.

I would like to offer you the services of Xerell Maj'ir. All his crunch and info are in his alias profile. Thanks for the chance of recruitment.

Silver Crusade

cool Well I'm going to keep recruitment open for the until when I said I would, I'm going to be sort of incommunicado, until the 2nd when I announce. If you have questions feel free to post or send me a PM.

<frown> That means, of course, that we didn't present 4 characters which absolutely floored you.

Oh, well . . ..

<eg>

Silver Crusade

Or there were 6 that floored me and I need the time to sort them :D

Must. Stand out. From. Zen. Archers!

3 monks. 3 swordlords. 6 other primarily combatant characters offered. The Ghost Monk is at least a unique offering in this set of applications. I'm afraid that my Swordlord application is far too easily dismissed as "another" Swordlord and thus relegated to background noise application level.

I hope such is not the case. There's really nothing I can do about it if that is the case, though.

And we wait.

Withdrawing Furnuk of Ferd

Silver Crusade

Additional house rule for mounts. If you want a horse that levels with you you can take the Horse Master Feat, not in the SRD but I know it, prereqs will be changed to 2 ranks in ride and handle animal, original pretense are out.

Sovereign Court

Horse Master

Here's the link to that feat.
You could house rule it to not include the Expert trainer class feature

Hope this helps.

Silver Crusade

Sorry, I was typing on my phone.

I'm changing the prereqs for Mounts to 2 Ranks in Ride and 2 Ranks in Handle Animal.

Silver Crusade

The Prereqs for Horse Master, sorry. I'm a bit exhausted from my family's celebrations.

If I don't have any new applications by tomorrow, I may just make my decision early.

I have joined another Kingmaker game, and it looks stable, so I shall withdraw my application to this game. Good gaming, all.

A question: what's your take on the celestial obediences from Chronicle of the Righteous? I'm guessing they're a no-go since they're not in the SRD.

The reason I asked is that my character was originally intended as a worshiper of Arshea rather than empyreal lords in general. It won't make a difference in starting stats since the feat is unavailable until 3rd level but it would affect the fluff text, though only a bit since the overall motive will stay the same.

Silver Crusade

I actually have Chronicle of the Righteous so it's legal.

Sovereign Court

*punts this up*

Silver Crusade

I have decided to take 5, I have a shortlist of about 8 players in my head, but I will still accept any application that comes in by Midnight US CST. And once we all sober up tomorrow, I'll post the 5 party members.

Thanks to all of you for your interest, I hope I didn't make you too much work to apply, I hate when GMs require you to write a small novella to apply, so I tried to make it as simple as possible so you don't feel like you wasted time if you didn't get chosen.

Cool, have a fun New Years Eve everyone and good luck!

Happy New Years!

Why would I wish you guys good luck? You're the competition! <eg>

Every expedition needs a scribe.

Happy New Years! Anyway here is Tommy's theme song if you go with him.

Every hero needs theme music

I was just looking at the mechanical write-up I submitted, and saw an ugly mistake. I recognized the pattern immediately. As I indicated Josef was originally put together for a MUCH more generous character build option for the same AP. I reduced his Dex in order to cover the attribute build difference, and then went through and reduced all of his Dex bonuses. I forgot to throw out "extra" dex listings where different options no longer cause different values to apply (Medium load now allows his full Dex bonus . . ..)

My apologies for such a simple, basic error.

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Thank you all for your responses and your creativity.

As I said, I decided to go with 5 and I created a shortlist this weekend of 8. Below are the 5 I've chosen and under them the 3 alternates, who will have first short if one of the 5 decide they can't play or if we have a drop out during the game. After those 8, the rest of you are the next set of having the first shot at a spot if people drop out of the game. So if you ever see me posting, needing replacements, you're guaranteed in, if you're the first one from this group to respond.

So enough hemming and hawing,

The Chartered Five:
Kern Therensgard, Human Wizard — Played by Ramarren
Brok Thundershams, Half-Elf Mounted — Played by nightdeath
Fren Leone, Dwarf Cleric of Abadar — Played by Walter Lindie
Darvan Jullies, Human Slayer — Played by Tiasar
Kyra Lightstep, Human Paladin — Played by MagusJanus
The five of you should create an alternate with your character name, at your earliest convenience and post in discussion. I'm going to list out some things that will help me keep the game organized and help keep us all in character.

The Short List:
Enora Ludevine
Faore
Luljeta Alraune

Alas, my hunt for an online game continues.

Try to have fun!

Heh. None of the Swordlords made the list at all. None of the archery specialists were selected, though two made the short list.

Enora stands with her bow ready to jump in.

I present to you Lelouch.

Controversial but a leader who leads by supporting his team mates. He's a mentally powerful but horrifically, physically weak character.

He supports his team and wants them to work for his cause but will support them with everything he has, as he knows his strength relies on tactics and his teams strength.

He see's the world like a game of chess that he's just itching to win.
