What's the first 3pp content you plan to convert to Starfinder?

Just curious. :)

i dont think it will be possible to say until i know a lot more about what Starfinder will include in its base packaging.. there are tons of things i want to be able to do that maybe 3PP does well or maybe Paizo will nail dead on. Just too early right now.

I'm with Torbyne on this one. XD Spheres of Power is a possibility, but until I know how the game actually WORKS, I don't know what can be converted in the first place.

With the most recent interview it looks like there will be vancian-type spells which for me is kind of tragic because I've basically done away with all that with spheres of power and other third party supplements and my game is better for it. If vancian casting stays I hope that either it's toned down, its easy to convert SoP to Starfinder, or a new SoP Starfinder supplement comes out as soon as possible because the less I have to deal with wizard shenanigans in Starfinder the better.

I'm pretty sure that if there's sufficient demand for a Spheres of Power supplement/update for Starfinder, then DDS will find a way to make it happen. I'd love to see an Ultimate Psionics supplemt/update for Starfinder from Dreamscarred.

It really depends on how the base system works. XD Spheres is EASY to flavor as pretty much anything you want.

Yeah, not sure how much conversion will or won't be needed...

Probably my top choices if conversion would be needed would be Akashic Mysteries, Grimoire of Lost Souls, and Spheres of Power. Ethermagic from Strange Magic also seems quite appropriate for the setting, though.

And yeah, I'm surprised anyone would think Gygaxian magic won't be present in Starfinder core...

Edit: Also, Paranormal Adventures' Shapeshifter is a must.

Sorry for being unclear. I was more thinking of setting conversions when I made the post.

Neoexodus is probably a big one since its all Scifantasy to some extent. I recently purchased the unfinished Santiago AP so I may convert it just to play out the AP. Eventually I'll get my hands on the rest of Legendary Game's Sword and Planet stuff.

Seems like a weird choice but Skybourne would probably be a planet with a lot of tech. I imagine something along the lines of the Dragonflyz cartoon. Similarly Thunderscape and He-Man.

I'm not terribly familiar with earlier D&D settings so I don't expect to convert anything from pre-Pathfinder era stuff.

Hm. Maybe some elements of our FR setting.

... Pathfinder? Have my Starfinder players run down time campaigns of Pathfidner APs in the holodeck as hypothetical "What Ifs" of alternate history.

I'm going to add to my list Hypercorp 2099, Necropunk and Crisis of the World Eater.

It will indeed. Whether it as a product line will end up being made both PF Compatible and Starfinder-compatible is as yet undetermined, both on the technical rules side and also on the licensing/legal side.

But one way or another, there will most DEFINITELY be Legendary Planet (and the forthcoming Legendary Worlds campaign setting) for Starfinder.

Of course, how else do you run alternate history? ;)

Looking forward to digging out my old Dragonstar books and seeing how much work it would be to make a Battleborn campaign setting.

I like to add magic to the real world, usually around the Renaissance period. I blame Lionheart for that.

Yes to both of these. I could see either Spheres of Power or Dreamscarred Press Psionic material being needed for what I would like to do. (Lensman Chronicles by E.E. "Doc" Smith)

Oooh, this is cool. I like it. :)

My own idea is to adapt some of the ideas of Relic Knights into my own Starfinder sector of space, with a dash of Guardians of the Galaxy. Now using TMNT as a source of inspiration sounds like it also perfectly matches.

And stealing ideas from Fragged Empire.

Of course for MOST Lensmen all the Lens needs to do is be unreproducible (unless you are already far enough along to worry about Black Lensmen, who were never particularly successful), and grant universal telepathy.

That'll give you zwilnik-hunting, Boskone-fighting, Galacticly Patrolling Lensmen.

Well, and rules for negasphere, the Z9M9Z, sunbeams...

It's only if playing with Second-Stage Lensmen, and/or Eddorians and Arisians you need more advanced mental power rules.

:)

Well, I do !!

LINK to Wikipedia article about the Lensman Chronicles.

They were written by E.E. "Doc" Smith in 1948 and early 1950's.

zwilnik : Drug dealers of the worst kind
Boskone : The bad guys higher up Galactic Organization
Lensman : The good guys. They come from all the Galactic races and go to Arisia for training and to get their Lens, which is a psionic(?) device that helps concentrate thinking, etc.
negasphere : Anti matter
Z9M9Z : The Command and Control vessel of the Galactic Patrol (good guys organization)
sunbeams : Harnessing the power of the sun as a weapon
Second stage Lensman : The four (well five really) Lensman from the four "primary" Galactic races that went back for additional Lens training.
Eddorians : The ultimate bad guys
Arisians : The ultimate good guys

You can get all six books at Project Gutenberg in ePub format, and I use Calibre 64 for WIndows 7 as a free eBook reader.

As I have just started rereading the series (in Triplanetary now) - this was perfectly timed. :)

My group wants me to run a campaign in the spirit of Firefly (especially since we love the show and universe, but aren't overly fond of the ruleset for the game)

Dark Sun and a couple of Gossamer World settings would be pretty cool.

Plus Stars Without Number could be pretty useful.

And Ponyfinder, for fun.
