We've had a new book for Osirion, Cheliax, and Andorian. Taldor still exists for only 3.5. Any news on possibly getting a new Taldor book?

Not so far. Qadira is getting one later this year, though, and it was in the same boat. So we may be getting closer. ^_^

That would be nice. Taldor seems to have a lot of potential for interesting characters and adventures.

Next to get a Casmaron or Southern Garund gazetter, I would really dig a Taldor sourcebook. Taldor is a large country surrounded by rebels and heathens, and has a lot of cool history, Byzantine themes, backstabbing politics & intrigue and it's got war elephants. Nuff said. Make it so

Would be nice. I am putting together a game set in Taldor and was actually really shocked when I sat down and looked and saw very little available support for it. I realize in cannon it is a fading empire, but given how important it has been for a huge amount of stories told in the Inner Sea, and even has its mark across the world in Tian Xia, it seems absurd that there is only a single pre pathfinder sourcebook.

I guess we can hope an AP turns up for Taldor, thats the only way it seems a region gets a real pass for support in the setting. Or maybe they are holding off on it because many of the stories that seem cool to tell in taldor would have a lasting impact on the setting as a whole (something paizo makes an effort to avoid).

Unlike many of the other regions, Taldor doesn't have a "champion" at Paizo. Joshua J. Frost, the author of the original Player Companion, no longer works there. In addition, there's some disagreement over how to proceed with the region.

To be clear, Taldor has two "stewards": James and Rob. The thing is, both gentlemen have wildly different ideas of how Taldor should look like.

Fair enough. ^_^

(I wasn't sure of some of that.)

To be even MORE clear, Taldor has two champions in Rob and Crystal. My personal take on Taldor is different than Rob's but I don't really have an actual horse in the race, and since I'm not super passionate/interested in Taldor, I'm more than willing to let Rob and/or Crystal take the reigns on the project. That said, they both have a LOT more on their respective plates for the immediate future, and don't currently have time to devote to a Taldor book, and personally, I'm of the opinion that it's better to wait until one or both of them are free to have a lot more input on the project than to push it out without their involvement. In any event, there's no Taldor book on the schedule for this year. Logically speaking, it is the final of the five original PFS region factions to get its own 64 page book... so it might only be a matter of time before it happens. It's certainly something I'd like to see happen at some point.

Add me to the list of people who'd love to see more material about Taldor.

It's a huge part of the world's history, a huge part of the map, and there's so little we know about it. Personally, I'm really curious to learn more about the fading empire. Seems like it could be a really fun place.

Here's hoping that one or both of them have enough time available in the near-ish-to-middling future.
