I think it might be back online.....

So, I believe (with some level of paranoia) that I've put some things in place to fix the page errors. It may take getting a new session (signing out/back in) or the instance of the site refreshing, but this ship should have begun righting itself. So sorry for the inconvenience folks, never have seen this sort of thing happen on our side before.

EDIT: For clarity, the issue was totally unrelated to the Humble Bundle or any other currently running promotions. Something was tripped that caused these areas of the site to simply "hide" themselves, and we're working to find the root cause.

I think Murphy's Law and his gremlin minions are to blame for this one...
either that or Cosmo and or his slighty more evil twin.

Best Roomba ever.

You should come around the chat some time so we can thank you in "person"!

You know, I'm not saying that we should repeat this experiment soon, but I actually had a lot of fun today.

Ahem.

* Bangs gavel in judge-like fashion. *

As one of the local enforcers of Murphy's law (due to my name) I note that my pronouns are "she" and "her".

We are now satisfied that enough things have gone wrong, and will allow you all to continue to entertain us with forum posts.

At somepoint someone will actually read the thead instead of just commenting and notice we have quoted your method at least 3 times now lol.

Requires the ability to read it.

In my case, in a few instances, I simply wasn't able to load the full page - it just stopped part way through the loading process.

Thanks, Lissa. Who'd be a system administrator? *shudder*

Gives me nightmares just thinking about it!

It is pretty much the most stressful job that I've ever had and why I eagerly moved to programmer when I could. But they needed someone to do this job when it became too much for Gary and Vic to handle with other duties and it's hard finding someone with the skill set to basically do all that stuff. It requires different troubleshooting skills and a very diverse set of knowledge including security, linux, windows, mac. ^_^

I'm basically also devops, a job I'm sharing right now but will be mostly taking over at a later point. Front desk work as well but that work is easy if time consuming. System Administration is the cover all but I like to think of myself as resident Tech Bard.

Gladly taken but Robot was the real hero here today. I was the hero a few weeks back when the site was hard down. That one was me pulling me hair out on a sunday for about 7 hours. ^_^ But Robot managed to figure out a way to fix this one.

Oh god page hesitated on loading! Someone make sure Captain Yesterday isn't still touching things.

What's that, I should start touching everything.

It's doing it again!

Is it just waiting for everyone to leave for the day?

balances a rare crystal bowl, full of ribbon candy, precariously on the piano perched on the edge of the stairs.

Sorry!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the website, because rule 0 exists. If it seems broken to you, then it's your fault for not fixing it yourself and you are a bad GM. If you can't be bothered to maintain every website that you visit yourself, then stop whining and go play an MMO.

No need to be sarcastic.

puts rare priceless crystalline bird in back pocket, where surely someone as bright as myself won't sit on it. Please.

I can't help it!

Well, there are perks to being indispensable. :)

So, don't get me wrong, it's all super nice and all. But I still can't see the AP message boards when I got to the AP product page.

No hurry, and certainly not a big deal, just thought you'd like to know. :-)

Or, and I'm just throwing this out there. *Cheers*

If he is breaking things this badly sober just think if he gets drunk! We might lose the whole site.

Foolish General, you are already drunk!

I'm fairly certain posting spam isn't going to fix anything.

Working now so clearly it didn't hurt either.

This appears to be happening again (I had this thread in my history, I don't know if I can access a more relevant place to post this.)

Did Cosmo or his slightly more evil twin send gremlin minions to the messageboards again?

I don't think it's stopped happening.

Message boards keep scrambling at random and sending me to the store page. Can't click on any category (Recruitment, PBP Campaigns, etc). Then after 5 minutes or so, it starts working again.

To Cosmo, and or his slightly more evil twin..
Did you release Databugs into the servers again?
Cause the messageboard disappeared for a good while.
