Pre-Gen Con at Scotty's Brewhouse, Wednesday Aug 3rd 2016: Sign-up's Open!

Attention Pathfinders:

Each year, on the Wednesday before Gen Con, the Indianapolis Lodge hosts Pathfinder Society Gaming at Scotty's Brewhouse in downtown Indianapolis. This year, PFS gaming returns to that venue on Wednesday, August 3rd!

I'm still working on getting more GMs to round out the tables we have. If anyone has a particular scenario you would like to play in or to run, let me know (webbrichd@gmail.com) whether you want to play it or run it, and in which slot. In particular looking for GM's for the second slot. The current schedule is maxed with the number of tables we can utilize. However, if there is a scenario that is empty or lacks a GM, it is possible to switch that out with something else. :)

There will be 2 slots:
8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Gaming will start at 8:00 a.m.; food service will start at 9:00 a.m. Though there is no cost to register or to play, all players and GMs, at every table, in every slot, are expected to purchase food, beverages, etc. There is not a lot of room (it gets pretty crowded starting just before lunch), so you shouldn't bring lots of extra stuff with you.

If you are interested in joining us, hop on over to the Warhorn HERE, register, and then sign up for a few games.

I look forward to seeing you (both the veterans of our Scotty's events and new Pathfinders!)

Richard, thank you for your time and efforts to put this together; and any team members you had helping, as well. I get into Indy on Tuesday afternoon, and was worried I'd have nothing much to do on Wednesday, but now I can eat and game for 9 hours!

Oh, and the Heresy of Man series was SO good when I played under a great GM. Too bad there's not time for part 3 for those involved.

Game on!

Question for you, especially since I'm not familiar with Indiana law.

For the must-be-21 tables, would it be acceptable to bring my 17-year-old daughter, since, I, her father, will be there as well? I know in Ohio, a minor can sit at a bar with a parent*.

*Although, I wouldn't suggest this for a younger child or one who is "too interested" in alcohol for their age.

Liberty's Edge 4/5 Venture-Captain, Indiana—Indianapolis aka Richard D Webb

I think they still need to be 18. I'm going on the side of caution and say no.

Thanks. It ended up being moot since the only game we could a: make it to Indy in time for and b: haven't played, wasn't listed that way anyway.

No worries after some further research, and for anyone else that asks All tables that say 21 and over must be over 21

Thanks!

Any chance more 7-11 tables can open up? Looks like only one?

We are given a set number of tables by scotty's and no more can be added.

Are any who are playing 7-11 or 7 - 25 at Scotty's also GMing that game at gencon?

The Exchange 5/5 Venture-Agent, Kentucky—Lexington

Anyone not in the 7-11 at Scotties up for doing one in a hotel maybe?

I might be up for something in the evening, depending on whether other situations do not transpire. Will let you know as the day approaches?

Grand Lodge 5/5 Venture-Captain, Arizona—Phoenix aka TriOmegaZero

If you got something I can play. :)

Grand Lodge

I would love to as well. But my open time are morning/early afternoon.

I think perhaps it is time to branch off a little. Maybe have a second place to host a few games. Does not need to have food or such. But it would help with all the people waiting for spots along with those who don't even sign up because of lack of open seats.

The Exchange 5/5 Venture-Agent, Kentucky—Lexington

Ok Wei, Steven, Edward that's a legal table with me. I can GM or play (if someone else would like to). I can do most 7-11. Shoot out some options?

Thanks for volunteering to organize that effort ;-)

Steven, Edward are probably more restrictive on the 7-11 choices (Unless it's Season Seven, I've played a lot of those this season). So something they can both play would probably be the best choice?

Able to play/gm from Wei/Steven's list:
I can play:
#7–28: Ageless Ambitions

I can GM:

#7–28: Ageless Ambitions

Edward?

Grand Lodge 5/5 Venture-Captain, Arizona—Phoenix aka TriOmegaZero

I can obviously GM as well. Which may remove the bottleneck or worsen the paralysis of choice. :)

Silver Crusade 3/5

Steven said that I should post interest...

I'd love to be able to hop in and play. I am pretty sure if Steven can play it, I can. I have several characters within the 7-11 tier, as long as people are fine with me jumping in.

Grand Lodge

I can play any of those. I don't have that many high tier characters so most 7-11 games I have not played yet.

If there are Wednesday evening game(s) happening, I'd love to play. I don't want to add another scenario to my prep so would prefer not to GM something new, though I can obviously run evergreens if needed. My flight is getting in around 4:30 - 5, so 6 or 7 start would be beautiful.

Now, the important thing... when?

What do people think, and are we going to try and find a big enough area to try and get a couple of tables lined up?

Ed said that morning or afternoon is good for him, but I have a slot in the afternoon *at* Scotty's, but could play in the evening after that as long as we didn't go *too* late because volunteering in the early AM.

I could drop from that, but I really liked the experience last year.

Dark Archive

Hey guys, me and my room mate would host a game at our suite Wednesday night. I believe the hotel would also allow me access to a conference room as well I haven't played ageless ambitions and I don't believe Jason has either.

Grand Lodge 5/5 Venture-Captain, Arizona—Phoenix aka TriOmegaZero

Since Ageless Ambition isn't out yet, I'd be surprised if he had. :)

Some of the hotels have tables available (I know the Sheraton does down in their basement) I'm staying at the Westin, not sure if there are tables there, but most hotels have a ballroom of some kind and they should be available as long as there are no events. There should be space in the convention hall if nowhere else.

Silver Crusade 2/5

Please count me as interested, mark me down as Player #X (whichever # my post makes me). I am in both slots at Scotty's but could play after, depending on the start time and the scenario chosen.

Game on!

Oh Steven, just because something isn't out yet, doesn't mean you can't have already played it.

What kind of silly logic are you using? 8)

Logic? We don't need no stinkin' LOGIC!

Grand Lodge 4/5 Venture-Agent, Virginia—Norfolk aka LaShana

I should probably add that I am also staying at the Westin and arriving sometimes early Wednesday

Liberty's Edge

I'd love to get in on this! And obviously 7-11 is my goal, would prefer to play but can run! I'll be available all day!

Grand Lodge 4/5 Venture-Agent, Virginia—Norfolk aka LaShana

I can run if you need an additional GM for a table. But play would be preferable for me as well.

The Exchange 5/5 Venture-Agent, Kentucky—Lexington

Sounds like we have more than one table. I'll make a warhorn later today and we can try to figure it out who is playing which table and who GM?

Liberty's Edge 4/5 Venture-Captain, Indiana—Northern

All, this thread is about the Scotty's event. Can you please make your own threads for games that are NOT going to be going on at Scotty's? Thanks.

The Exchange 5/5 Venture-Agent, Kentucky—Lexington

Where are the sign ups for ACG games? Assuming there are some this year

I believe the ACG table was cancelled due to low demand, and that table was converted to an RPG table to meet the increased demand on the RPG side.
