And that's why I avoid having characters at different levels and no longer use exp.

Me too, but we're talking about PFS here. You can't choose to do that.

Grand Lodge

We also just change scenarios or characters to give lower level characters the chance to catch up. The low man position gets passed around among the entire group.

Well, my biggest issue with PFS is the lack of continuity of story among characters (that and having to deal with toxic players regularly), but with a solid group, that's like 2/3 of the problems solved. Well done, TOZ! Even I would probably get on board with something like that.

Really? That's why? I've got my own list of reasons, but I must say that the above is not on the list.

Well... It's part of why I avoid PFS.

Basically, I despise their house rules and how strictly GMs are supposed to adhere to the rules and scenarios. It's all too restrictive for me.

I'm not a fan of playing with random strangers either... That's at best a once-in-a-blue-moon thing for me... And only during conventions and such.

Ironically, part of why I quit was because of how often I encountered GMs enforcing their own preferences and calling it "adjudication" (or just not even justifying it at all). Go figure, eh? :)

Oh, I'm sure there are lots of bad GMs in PFS... Those are everywhere. Luckily, it's only in PFS that I can't choose my GM and fellow players (see the part about "playing with random strangers"). ;)

Grand Lodge

I pick and choose my GM and players all the time.
