Can you be addicted to alcohol in PFS?

The Truth in Wine feat lets you increase the next divination spell you cast by +1 CL or +2 CL if you're addicted to alcohol if you drink some fine liquor 1 minute beforehand. The feat's PFS legal but I'm not sure if being an addict is.

I wavered back and forth between making a couple pun jokes here or relating some anecdotes about players getting sloshed during the game and the antics that ensued, but a certain crowd would probably take them too seriously.

Discretion is probably the better part of valor on this one.

Having a couple of relatives who are alcoholics myself, it could get... dicey in a not-good way depending on how it was presented?

Translated from heavily-slurred Minkaian: "No, it is impossible. If it were possible, I would have achieved it by now."

(As a drunken master monk, Kaito drinks an entire pint of sake once per round, every round, forever. This is why he has two flasks of infinite sake, because, in his words, "one infinity of good drink is not enough." Sidenote: Kaito is also my only PFS character to take bathroom breaks during missions. He is very grateful on those rare occasions when scenario writers include a privy or an outhouse in a dungeon or mansion we're looting exploring.)

Also, Additional Resources has this to say about Truth in Wine:

Quote:
The Truth in Wine feat does not grant any additional benefit to addicted characters.

So it is moot.

I think the DM is well within their rights to have the William shatner to charlie sheen talk at that point. I'm not telling you not to get drunk and sleep with green women, but you need a LITTLE moderation or you're going to die.

Translated from heavily-slurred Minkaian again: Sounds like somebody would benefit a lot from the wisdom of the Drunken Hero's most important proverb: 'Lighten up, bro!'

Our Eyes of the Ten party includes a Cayden Cailean life oracle and he is glorious. He may be a drunk and a bit of a lech but he's always there when we need him.

It's not a real party until the priest of Cayden turns up with the paladin of Arshea.

Are we forgetting the Original Party Girl herself, our lady Urgathoa? The party doesn't stop, even after your heart does.

Pharasman nerds need not apply.

lol... all conditions have to be cleared by the end of the scenario... so do as thou wilt!
Just expect the surcharge on the bill at the end. So sayeth mr party pooper GM...

actually I'm not sure you can EVEN acquire that "condition" or situation... is there a "drunken" vanity? I know pregnancy has no mechanical effect in PFS although it's kinda temporary (does it go away between adventures?)... lol... silly real world stuff in fantasy land...

Erm. Or so I've heard.

Shadow Lodge 4/5

Yeah, that's true you can get pretty darn wasted before it becomes a hindrance. Supposedly, I mean.

Pregnancy in the Society?

My wife has a PC that has been "in a family way" for 11 levels so far....

playing a pregnant PC

And I just realized that she happens to be a Cleric of Cayden Cailean! Yeah, a pregnant beermaid...

Don't make fun of the pregnant lady..

Her PC is one of the original Boon Aasimar:
My wife runs a Pregnant Cleric (she says she's about 6 months along and that explains the DEX of 8) - and at the start of a fight her first action is to cast Bless. You see, we were trying to NOT start a fight, and were practicing non-aggression etc. and it seemed like a non-threatening spell to her... but the BBE responds by casting a create pit spell on her. She rolled a nat 20 Reflex and avoided it (her Reflex was +2 or something).

So she responded by casting blindness him, and someone else hit him with a 1 minute deafened effect (sonic bomb) - and things went down hill from there for him... anyway, after the fight, the captured thug is trying to talk his way out of being captured, saying that we should remove the blindness and free him 'cause we had "started it all!". My PC responds that not only had one of his guards drawn the first weapon (and first blood) HE had tried to throw a pregnant lady in a PIT! This got the response "She's Pregnant? I thought she was just fat!"

My response..."wow dude, I think your chances of getting that blindness spell turned off just went down."
