Tarrasque like Miniature.

Just saw and backed a great Kick Starter for those who love super large miniatures. They call it
the Behemoth and it is very Tarrasque like in shape and size.

I hope it looks as good as the digital sculpt shown. :-)

This will be a great KS, Dungeon Crawler (DCM) makes great minis.

Thanks for the mention guys, we're just now at the prototyping stage, and it's impressive so far. Looking forward to making this a reality!

I've already got Khanjira the Worldbreaker, but this one looks pretty cool too.

The Behemoth looks to be the big brother or daddy of Khanjira in the prototype pics I just saw.

I agree, Khanjira is a 4x4 sized mini. This new Behemoth is an 8x8. But there is no reason someone couldn't own both. :-)

We just use the GM's cat.

True, Get both paint schemes of Behemoth and a Khanjira and then you would have a happy little family of Tarrasques.

In all seriousness the Behemoth is a great deal for its awesome size.

The campaign is moving good.

This will be a great mini for play or display.

Ok, now this was a great shot. They posted some photos over on the Kick Starter. Look how big this beast is...

I can't wait to place this baby out on the table and watch the fear in their eyes. LOL

It is great to see another really big mini that is not a dragon.

I've backed several of Dungeon Crawler's Kickstarter campaigns. Not all of them have funded, and they've run into a production snag or two, but they've always delivered and I've always been pleased with the results. You have to give them credit for being willing to try to produce some unusual but really cool sculpts - a kraken! a behemoth! Baba Yaga's hut! They also did a really nice mermaid and some cool giant skeletons. Useful stuff that's not out there anywhere else.

DCM really does make awesome PPM

And the pre-paint seems like it'd be really good value, you'd probably spend more on the paints/brushes than the extra cost.

A great deal at about $62 U.S. Dollars for a painted Behemoth

Damn. I'm starting to get worried. The last couple of Dungeon Crawler Kickstarters haven't funded, unfortunately. It's a great product, and the price is good, awesome mini. I'm not sure if it's not getting the publicity it needs, or there just isn't enough demand for giant minis... It'll be a shame, though, if this one doesn't go off. Can't imagine another Tarrasque, er, Behemoth coming along again any time soon.

It is a great deal.

You should see the painted prototypes in the KS video.

I'd imagone few people actually have a use for a tarrasque miniature, as awesome as it would be, I hear it so often that people have never actually played a game in the level range where fighting a tarrasque becomes a matter of more than two dice rolls before a TPK and you can actually put that toddler on the table.

Just so that you're all aware, it's actually costing $65 in Canadian funds, so it's even cheaper for you americans.

I just don't understand how this hasn't funded yet. It is so nice, well worth the cost, and not another typical orc or dwarf.

I pledged for two but I might not even get one.

Kickstarters without $10-$30 pledge levels tend to do poorly. That's all most of us can manage.

I doubt I will ever use my Behemoth as a tarrasque it will get used as a very big desert or jungle creature with just a touch of magic to make it not be an animal.

Then it can be used in non epic level games much more often.

For less than 2 cent a day you can be awesome and get a Behemoth.

We're on the last day of the campaign, and have really started moving. :)

We haven't funded yet, but it's also worth mentioning that the stretch goals are pretty cool, too: a "clawed deviant" eye-of-the-deep looking beholder-kin, a huge water elemental, and a 6x6 walking hut mini. In addition to the behemoth, I'd really like to see the other minis funded, so let's go people, throw some money at this thing!

There is a demonic looking mini from McFarlane toys. Malebogia or a demonic spawn would do.

Behemoths are used by the Orcs of Dungeon Crawler™ as mounts until they become too large to control without powerful magic. Then they are brought to slumber for decades, awakened only as a last ditch defensive measure or to be fed criminals, slaves and prisoners during the Feasting Days. Should the Horde move against a nation, these beasts lead the attack guided by their shaman riders.

Act quick and join.

Funding Unsuccessful :(

Sadly, unsuccessful. I didn't even know about this until today. I would have gladly backed it...then again...even with my funding it probably would still have fallen short by about 25% of it's needed funding.

They are planning to relaunch 1st July. Which I'm glad they let it reach a conclusion initially, rather than pulling it.

Keep us updated.

Quick update.

We are now looking at re-launching a little earlier 9AM on JUNE 28th (TUESDAY), this way people will be around or near a computer for the long weekend which will end July 4th to pledge when we launch rather than off with their families and love ones. We don't want to be responsible for you guys pledging when you're supposed to be having quality time. ;)

See you then!

Cheers, Jey.

Starting June 28th (Tuesday) and runs until August 1st (Monday).

The BIG guy is coming back to a KS near you.

Launching tomorrow!

Be sure to check it out! There's no stopping the unstoppable Tarras.... Behemoth :)

Fantastic

Wouldn't it make more sense to have this one cover the ~10k that were missing from the original KS, and then go into stretch goals? That way they wouldn't fail again.

With the funds raised so far in this KS and the previous one they should be at almost 50k now, well above the original funding goal.

I probably just don't know how Kickstarter works, but it seems to me the strategy here isn't completely sound.

Correct, Kickstarter doesn't work that way :)

On Kickstarter the project creator only gets the money if the funding goal is reached. That's why it is one of the most popular crowdfunding platforms. If the goal is not reached, then no one looses any money.

Ah okay, that explains everything. Then i retract everything i said.

Over half way to being funded.
