White Necromancer question.

Are these guys when using Animate Dead (or similar spells) limited by HD or are they just required to meet Diplomacy checks?

I'm fairly sure that White Necromancers are still limited by the HD limits in the spells. Otherwise, they could have theoretically unlimited numbers of undead following and obeying them, and that's clearly not the intention here. XD

That's correct - White Necromancer still need to adhere to the rules of those spells.

FYI, for anyone that might not be aware, the White Necromancer was expanded and updated in the New Paths Compendium from Kobold Press

Just to Clarify

Is the Version in "New Path Compendium" different then the one in the "New Paths 7: The Expanded White Necromancer" (which is already expending on the version found in the Kobold Magazine) or is it the same version?

Good question!

I don't have access to my files to check, but I *think* the version in the New Paths Compendium is more or less the same as the version in New Paths 7: The Expanded White Necromancer. There may have been a few small text changes here and there, but I don't think there were any big additions, rules changes etc.

I alrrady have the New path 7: The Expended White Necromancer so if the material is (more or less) the same, I'm might save it for later.
