Story spoiler: Orcs will be stirring up all kinds of trouble in a human system. Some combination of Space Marines and Imperial Guard will work to stop them, only to discover the Eldar are sneaking about behind the scenes, at which point the humans and Eldar would begin slaughtering each other. After a while the true threat will reveal itself - the forces of chaos have actually been using Orcs as a smokescreen to disguise themselves. The humans and Eldar will have to work together in order to defeat this common foe.

Thanks, Lord Snow. That sounds like Imperial Guard would be a faction since the start, and that is good news to me; Orcs/Eldar/Marine/Chaos are factions that I find boring. I really hope we could see someday Dark Eldar or Tau as initial factions.
To be clear, I was really just describing the plot of every single previous Dawn Of War game. I don't actually know what the plot of this one will be.

Ha. This game has only confirmed the Space Marines, Orks and Eldar, and they will be using at least Knight battle walkers, if not Titans, in some fashion.
The original DoW 3 announced in 2011 was a MP-only game, but it sounds like they've completely reconceptualised the game, there'll be a SP campaign and the gameplay will be closer to DoW I (with some limited base building) than DoW II.

The Eldar, Dark Eldar, Necrons, Tyranids, and Tau could use some love than they generally get. As could the non-Space Marine components of both the Imperium of Man and the Forces of Chaos.
There is more to the franchise than Space Marines, Orks, and Chaos Space Marines.
No kidding. The Tyranids in Dawn of War 2 were such a revitalising injection to the story and gameplay in DoW 2 that I fell in love with the franchise again after some fatigue at the time. Personally I would love to see Necrons feature heavily .

The Tyranids are front-and-centre in the recent Space Hulk game and will be again in the upcoming Deathwing, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were rested for this DoW.
The Necrons I can see them doing more with. They were quite popular in Soulstorm, but a story that puts them up as the main threat rather than just one race would be interesting.
I would like to see more done with the Imperial Guard and the Inquisition. I'm surprised no-one's done an RPG in the vein of the Eisenhorn novels. That'd be quite cool, and I think the video games need more of a grunt-level look at the world. It'd also be nice to see more being done with the Sisters of Battle.
