If a background knowledge check at the beginning of the scenario lists multiple knowledges for a single result set, does each player get to use each of those knowledge skills or does he just pick one?
Rules wise, I think you could roll each one and take the highest. However, I've only ever seen it as you pick one, usually your highest. That's also how I've always GMed it but I was hoping for a definitive source.

I let people roll once and pick the highest. The one exception is that if they roll knowledge local, and then want to still go out and try to get more info through gathering information, I let them.
Also remember that in a lot of scenarios, there is not a strict time limit, and you *start* the briefing *in* a library..
(Pathfinder lodges generally have extensive collections of journals.). So you can probably get a bonus if you want to stop and take the time. (and I soul have to look up the specific rules, but you may even B able to do it untrained?)

That's a good point that I never thought of. As long as there is no time constraint, and you start at the Grand Lodge, you can spend 1d4 hours to make the check even untrained (and not be limited to DC 10). I would imagine the Lodge would also provide at least a +2 bonus (It's got the Pathfinder Chronicles, right?)

If it's a chance to know something, I let them roll all the skills that could possible apply. If it's a chance to do something e.g. solve a puzzle, break a lock, chase sequence, then they have to choose one.
