Branch Pounce

Rules Questions

Paizo Employee Developer

Branch Pounce, from Heroes of the Wild, is one of my favorite feats, but I have some questions.

1. I've read it around here that falling speed is "enough". Does this mean you can do this action even if your falling further than your movement speed? Is "falling" on someone still "part of a charge"? Since falling is the free action I could just "declare" that the last 30 feet fallen was my "charge", I suppose.

2. If I combine this feat with Charging Stag Style, could I fly my speed to directly above someone, then stop flying in order to fall straight down on someone to successfully branch pounce? (The "90 degree turn" during the charge being 90 degrees downward.) Would the Charging Stag Style even be necessary? (I guess so since you charge in a straight line.)

3. You still land adjacent to the target even if your a Tiny creature? I guess you bounce off. Chirp chirp.

4. How would this work with "Dimensional Charge"? Would it just not do any extra damage since there's (conceivably) no falling damage?

It's helpful if your post the text of the feat when you have these sorts of questions.

It's not on the PRD or d20pfsrd.

branch pounce

Nope you can't just fall, it has to be a charge, so a jump up to double your move.

charging stag style becomes irrelevant.

you land adjacent no matter what size you are.

it doesn't work with dimensional charge.
