Who's going home with a pedantry award?

Well, Lau, I think that it would technically be an award for pedantry, not a pedantry award.

Spoiler:
Given the nature of this thread I feel the unusual need to make sure everyone understands that was meant as a joke.

** spoiler omitted **

Technically, his full name (as presented in his user name) is Lau Bannenberg.

Spoiler:
Likewise. Joke.

Haha this has quickly become my favorite thread stemming from a complaint. That being said, I had a wonderful opportunity at SCARAB to use the ring at a table with the very same person in this thread who suggested out of combat uses still be allowed... And we had a very successful and dare I say "balanced" use of the item) effectively catching up with a PC who had split the party in order to help our swift Cleric keep an eye on him. The catch? The big boss the three of us had met with decided she wanted the bird as a hostess gift...). It let my character display his ability to infiltrate unnoticed and gave us a circumstance bonus to hiring us as (*grumbles*) assassins. Maybe the gold point cost is a bit low even for a feat like that, but it's presence improved the experienced of everyone at the table and the bonus it gave us wasn't without potential risk that required significant skill to navigate.

Technically, I'm already home, and was at the time of my previous posts as well, so I can't exactly "take it home".

Technically, if it were a physical award we'd ask you to receive it publicly necessitating your leaving home and, therefore, putting you in the position of needing to take it home.

Technically speaking.

Some awards can be awarded at the home, like publisher's clearing house and their novelty checks.

Technically?

Actually the quote is, "You are technically correct, the best kind of correct."

This is in the top ten percent (or possibly top nine-point-five percent) of best derails.

And 80% of all statistics are invented on the spot.

That said, I am well aware of the DPS entries and a well constructed songbird of doom rivals am barbarian before the lance pounce nerf.

I also wish for this ring to be banned as it allowed Wei Ji to escape death at the hands of the King of the Storval Stairs tonight.

Gamin the True-forged

Rae picked up the Ring for one specific reason alone -- to GTFO if cornered and needing an escape route, either for themselves or to report a party near-TPK to allow body retrieval. Situation A came up in Storval.

Dark Archive

Delectable, another thread for my undead army.

I'm too nice. I'm just too nice.

As long as the thread is necro'd, the Order of the Pike Cavalier shenanigans only add to the potential abuse.
