Help with Orc stealth barbarian build. (never built one before)

Advice

when i played Skyrim I was an orc Stealth build. and when I did get caught I used the rage mode.

I what to do the same for my Pathfinder build.
And was told to go with A barbarian and put ranks in Stealth.
(Thanks Sundakan)

I have no Ideal on how to build a champion. I just want the LV 1 build I will work on it on the way. but will welcome any and all tips.

thank you all.

Oh, so you stop stealthing once things start?

Yeah, that makes this much easier. You won't need to find a way to stealth while raging (since you would already be in the middle of a fight anyway when you rage).

Really, you just need to get a trait that makes stealth a class skill, and you are fine. Just grab power attack and your 2 handed weapon of choice, and you are golden then.

Liberty's Edge

It always seemed strange to me that barbarians don't get stealth.

Lemeres pretty well nails it... though other than getting one attack against a flat footed enemy, there's really no benefit. Maybe you could look into an Inquisitor with the Rage domain? You'd get stealth as a skill and rage as a class feature, and if you take the Sanctified Slayer archetype, you'd get sneak attack dice.

Just one more thing - grab a rank in the disable device skill and the thieves' tools to use itbecause it's embarrassing to be stopped by a locked door while sneaking around.

If you're a barbarian-type... just open it with door with a dwarven lockpick, or a chest with a 2-handed thief's tool. No reason to go all rogue with their finesse on thing. Smashy works just as well.

Yeah, but it's not very stealthy.

The Urban Barbarian archetype would give you a dex bonus while raging. This would help with a dex based build. Variant Multiclassing into rogue gives you a little bit of a sneak attack at level 7. It's not much, but it would be a great way to start a battle. (Starting a rage is a free action, so it can be done in a surprise round.)

A stealthy orc barbarian ?!?

Class does not equal profession. It's called roleplaying, not stereotypeplaying.

I'm playing a stealth Barb 1/2-orc And loving it, U.Barbarian / U.Rogue(Scout/Skulking Slayer) giving me excellent stealth and Precision damage on charges, as well at flanking.

Skilled Rager-stealth (Feat): makes the stealth while raging possible.
Fast Stealth(Rogue Talent) full move while stealthed
Swift Foot(Barbarian) extra 10' movement while raging
Shove Aside (Barbarian): charge thru an ally square if they aren't adjacent to the enemy.
Shove aside(Greater): same as above. but thru any number of allies.

Giving me a stealthed or charge of 50' move with precision damage!!

Well, there is the classic advantage of 'a fight not fought is a fight won'- ie- why even bother with the trouble.

He could also go with another dedicated scout as back up so it doesn't end up 5 on 1.

Also, he mentioned champion. Does that mean this is a mythic game? The rule set that allows you the 'undetectable' ability on a legendary item (which massively boosts the value of invisibility for you)?

A skyrim character stopped by a mere lock? What, did you not bring enough lock picks?

Assume 'slasher movie murderer'. A Jason, if you will.

Not to say this character would be a bad guy... but the difference between an action movie and a horror movie is all about whether the unstopable force is on your side.

Yes. on skyrim I stayed hidden but I do not think you can go stealth 100% to when I did fail I hit rage and kill them all.

Now I just need to get all this on my character sheet. (not that I understand how)

And when I called it champion I did not call it that for any reason.

Well, as I said, if it is just 'try it until you mess up, then fight like normal', then you just need to invest the skill points and maybe a trait to get a class skill for an extra +3.

If you wanted to replicate the really broken stealth antics (stuff like that level 100 ability where you crouch and everyone loses sight of you for a second), then things would get complicated with archetypes, traits, and a prestige class.

As a side note- an advantage to 'semi stealth'- you can get into flanking position with little worry. Unless they have combat reflexes, they can't do AoOs while flat footed.

Sounds like you just want a build. I'm presuming 20 point buy, 2 traits, and average starting wealth (105 gp). Tweak it is necessary or desired:

Human Barbarian
15+2=17 strength
16 dexterity
14 constitution
10 intelligence
12 wisdom
7 charisma

Traits: Armor Expert, Highlander
Feats: Power Attack, Combat Reflexes

Skills: 1 acrobatics, 1 intimidate, 1 stealth, 1 perception, 1 survival

Gear: Glaive (8 GP), Spiked Gauntlet (5 GP), Throwing Axe (2) (16 gp), Dagger (2 GP), Warhammer (12 GP), Heavy Wooden Shield (7 GP), Studded Leather Armor (25 GP), Acid Flask (10 GP), Barbarian's Kit (9 GP), 11 GP

This build gives you a well-rounded selection for a 1st level Barbarian with an emphasis on stealth. The traits both enhance your stealth options, and combined with the high dexterity score give you a respectable +8 stealth check. Due to the high dexterity, a reach weapon with combat reflexes is your most favorable method of attack. A spiked gauntlet is included to give you an easy melee attack option if you can't take a 5 foot step away. Throwing axes give you a good ranged weapon option until you can get a hold of a composite longbow, and a warhammer gives you a good option if you encounter skeletons and with the heavy wooden shield lets you equip for AC if that's more advantageous. Finally, an acid flask is a good emergency catch-all and the standard barbarian kit gives you a reasonable selection of miscellaneous items at a low cost. If you don't like the skill selection, feel free to reassign it to taste.
