I decided to do commentary on the top ten downloads from other companies list that gets sent out every week from paizo. I'm including a short explaination for why it's on the list, whether or not I have it and trends and changes that I notice.

Starting next week I'll also include new products that catch my eye or that I've bought but that is likely to be a monthly thing as my buying rate has slowed down quite a bit.

Anyways, If you'd like, enjoy. Let me know if this kind of article is useful for you and whether or not you'd like me to continue this every week. Also comment anything that I should be doing for this series of posts that I'm not already doing.

*I* found it usefull!

Interesting article!

I like the article and look forward to seeing more.

I've really been enjoying your blog entries, Malwing. Great information, great insight. And as a prolific purchaser of PF 3PP products, it's helpful to me to have another quality, consumer-oriented 3PP spotlighter in addition to Thilo Graf (Endzeitgeist).

If I had more time, I would likely borrow your specific blog model and do something very similar in regards to product reviews, Pathfinder gaming culture and scene-based state-of-the-art.

Actually in regards to culture, one reason why I changed the name from '3pp blog' to 'Pathfinder blog' and will eventually change it further was because I wanted to expand to a few other topics.

I sometimes pre-write some articles because I'm unsure about them or I want a small library of them for when I'm too tired to write, and I have a series of personal stories involving gaming and geek culture. One that I'm particularly working on is a result of some recent conversations and movies I've seen where I talk about being African American and how its relevant to me being a Pathfinder player. I've been holding back on it because I'm trying to keep it concise and on topic and it formed into three different articles about my being black, a geek, and growing up in a ghetto. I think they'll be some interesting reads once I get it off the ground.

Very impressive!

Malwing,

I would definitely be interested in reading future blog articles relating to your ethnicity and the gaming culture dynamics involved with it. My most profound and cherished RPG experiences have come from sharing game tables and PBEM's with people who were vastly different than me. As a result, I'm formed preferences for heterogeneous demographics with the Pathfinder groups that I GM. I hope that helps ...

Seconded. As a half latino gamer, I'm always up for hearing how things like this affected people, and it seems like it'd be pretty interesting.
