Spell Storing Bolt / Arrow

Rules Questions

Can you create arrows or bolts of spell storing and put spells like silence, obscuring mist, grease, burning hands, etc in them?

If so, how much would they cost?

You can't put Spell Storing on a ranged weapon or ammunition. It says so in the ability:

A spell storing weapon allows a spellcaster to store a single targeted spell of up to 3rd level in the weapon. (The spell must have a casting time of 1 standard action.) Anytime the weapon strikes a creature and the creature takes damage from it, the weapon can immediately cast the spell on that creature as a free action if the wielder desires. (This special ability is an exception to the general rule that casting a spell from an item takes at least as long as casting that spell normally.) Once the spell has been cast from the weapon, a spellcaster can cast any other targeted spell of up to 3rd level into it. The weapon magically imparts to the wielder the name of the spell currently stored within it. A randomly rolled spell storing weapon has a 50% chance of having a spell stored in it already. This special ability can only be placed on melee weapons.

A spell storing weapon emits a strong aura of the evocation school, plus the aura of the spell currently stored.

Thanks

Even if you could, it'd be a rather expensive one use item.

Hmm, 50 arrows +1 spell storing would be 8k, that's 160gp per arrow. Then you have your wizard load them up with 3rd level spells in his down time.

I don't know, that's better pricing than a scroll, anyone can use one, and you can get multiple shots per round.

That's probably why they don't allow them on ammunition.

yes, on the arrow it would be ridiculous since you can fire multiple.
But on a crossbow bolt, you are limted by number of times to shot with this.

Next, if I allowed a bolt to be spell storing. For something like obscuring mist which would go off regardless if you hit or not since even if you miss the bolt will hit something and go off.

So how would you handle this?
d8 to determine where boltlands, and then based on miss, for each miss in increments of 5 you the bolt lands 5', 10', 15' from target?

You can't make a spell storing arrow.

However, you can make a +1 arrow (or +2, etc.) with a single use, use activated spell effect selected when the item is crafted using Craft Magic Arms and Armor. See screaming bolt, slaying arrow, etc.

This is a game-balance consideration to prevent high-level spells delivered through an arrow cheaply (without using class abilities from arcane archer or some archetypes).

So instead of a bolt/arrow of spell storing they can potentially create an Arrow of Silence correct?
Because I see no difference from a Sleep Arrow and creating an Arrow that is +1 and causes silence when it strikes the opponent.

I would think only thing not allowed are area effect on arrow.
But target spells/touch spells should be doable to be crafted and put on arrow spell level x caster level x 50 gp

A magic tile made in the shape of an arrowhead. When it breaks it goes off. A shatter spell could be a very bad thing.

The following is homebrew for my game world. There may be rulings from Paizo devs. in existence or soon to come.

Magic Tiles are a medium of exchange. They can hold a spell and apply it like a potion. You brake it on the place you want the spell to center. You can replace an arrow head with a tile to assure it goes off.
To make a tile you need brew potion and craft ceramics. Any source of the spell will do. Monetary value is by spell level 0/cantrip/orison(25)->1st(100)->2nd(500)->3rd(1000)->4th(5,000) -> 5th(10,000)->6th(50,000)->7th(100,000)->8th(500,000)->9th(1,000 ,000)
Mythic(2,000,000)->Epic(5,000,000) Prices are artificially inflated, due to them being fine art, and hoarding. Significant material component costs are added. Cost to make are as scrolls.
In my version of the game Gorum has decreed that fighters can use shield spell tiles! Do you want to argue with a god? Didn't think so.
If you don't like it pass me by.
You can forbid any wis/sorc only spells for tiling in your game if you want. I will consider other changes, but not that one.
