I've been playing for only a couple of months (was looking to get into D&D but was told PF was cheaper due to the core rulebook) and if I was told that I would have had to pay a dollar every time I sat down that would have been a deal breaker. However, if all the GM's I go to game with are saying that they are willing to collect donations that go toward a general fund to help new and/or down on their luck GM's that are victims of 50's era teenagers complete with leather jackets and greased back hair I might just give a dollar every couple of weeks. :)Nefreet wrote:I would probably also include:

In my area, we have an annual picnic gameday, and the last two years I've asked for donations. That money went towards printing chronicle sheets and purchasing flipmats for GMs, which we keep on site.

I would ask about what it would take to get a player to GM - you may find that by running the GM101 or 201 courses, you get a bunch more GMs which are usually the limiting factor to how many games you can run.

I agree with Nefreet as well, although I would run any suggestion of a fee past your venue first, though - as soon as money becomes an issue, it can become an issue. You don't want your landlord to think you're getting rich using their space for free (even though that isn't the case). Best to avoid misunderstandings.

I kinda came up with idea to create a short 2-3 pages long PFS survey aimed at players in our local area. The objective would be to gain some insight into their current pleasure or displeasure with our local community, PFS in general, scenario's and GM's, so we are trying to come up with the list of "good to ask" questions for them. We could use some minor help with those.

So far, I'v come up with few general questions; how pleased are players with PFS community, how much informed are they about it and how problematic do rules seem for them and how pleased are they with the scenarios. (this is just general description of those questions)

Thanks upfront for responses :)
