Hi all,
I tried to search to see if this has been answered before, and I don't think it has (please forgive me if I'm wrong).
My question is about the combat feat Improved Parry:
Prerequisite(s) Int 13, Combat Expertise.
Benefit(s) When you successfully parry a foe’s melee attack (with a dueling parry or the parry class feature), your next melee attack against the target does not allow the enemy to apply its Dexterity bonus to AC (if any). This attack must be made before the end of your next turn.
Specifically, I was wondering if a Swashbuckler's Opportune Parry would qualify in order to use this feat. The feat explicitly mentions dueling parry (which I'm assuming is the one used only in duels), and the "parry class feature." Does that mean only the Duelist prestige class would qualify or can Swashbucklers get it too?
Thanks for your help!

As Weirdo said, this is one of those situations where strictly speaking it probably doesn't work. But in all actuality, there doesn't appear to be a game reason it shouldn't. So in home games make sure you clear it with your GM, but it should be fine. For PFS, expect table variation erring towards not allowing it.
