What are you going to name her?
We don’t know if we will keep her yet. We think the momma cat got spooked by some people that were around and got separated long enough that she wasn’t willing to reclaim this one. They actually waited a couple of hours before they even picked her up, to give the mother a chance to reunite her with the litter. But it’s also possible the momma cat rejected her because of a defect we can’t see. Hopefully the vet will know (and can make sure she doesn’t have any parasites, since they’re all strays). If she is healthy, we’ll talk about whether to keep her. I am thinking yes.
In that event, the name will be something suitably geeky. Maybe an LOTR character or something...

Male calicoes do occur, though they are extremely rare and always sterile. I knew someone as a kid who had one. He was a "barn cat", nearly feral. But for some reason he'd come to me and let me pet him when no one else could.
This is true. I am playing the odds a bit, I suppose.

Vet: How cute! What’s this little guy’s name?
Owner: Shub-Niggurath. You know, like the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young. Spelled the usual way.

Friend called a rabbit Shub-Niggurath. That was one big fat bas****. Supposedly bite-y too.

LOL,,.. (To several of the previous posts) ;P
Just a fun fact for those who refuse to acknowledge the truth.
Cats ARE the Great Old Ones, just biding their time to reclaim the earth!
Welp, spent the evening at "The Rosies" The local community theater version of the Tonys.
The show my daughter and I were in this spring 'Tuck Everlasting' received several nominations. (Including an aged wizard for best supporting actor) But we didn't bring home any awards, sadly.
Still, got to hang out with peeps far more theater-y and geek-y than even myself, it was a pretty fun evening out. The wife and I dont get many of those, so it was a win! :)

Fantasy Races: Nyr Erain. I have been working on them for over a year. Similarity to Dead Cells is rather coincidental, though it did influenced some finishing touches...

The stars are right. Armathulhu has awakened. His annoying and well armored children will soon claim the world.
Fun fact: "Armageddon" is short for "Armadillo-ageddon" which is ancient Mesopotamian for "being overrun by armadillos." That's what happened to Enkidu.
Also, they carry leprosy (Hansen's disease).

Little kitten is doing well. She is teething so she chews on everything. She is starting to walk on all fours (instead of crawling on her belly), so I suspect we will have our hands full as she becomes increasingly mobile.
She got separated from mother and siblings before getting her teeth? Search for instructions how to teach an abandoned kitten not to bite extensively - normally kittens learn how to control strength of their bite by playing with their parents and kin, who give them certain types of feedback when they start biting too strongly for play. Otherwise she'll might end being a rather annoying biter later, not understanding that she goes beyond boundaries of play and into hurting others.
